Amedot (Amethyst x Peridot)

I eject my Camp Pining Hearts tape and put it into the box next to my previously recorded image transmitter or as Steven calls it "the TV". I start to head downstairs but notice something going on outside through the ginormous hole in the barn. Determined to investigate, I climb down the ladder and sneak towards the missing chunk of barn, I couldn't help myself peridot's are naturally curious gems. I'm slightly shocked and slightly infatuated with the scene in front of me. Steven and his human, "Connie" I believe they called her were touching faces together. This happened often on Camp pining hearts but I was unaware of the purpose. Eventually the act came to an end and both of them walked away rather awkwardly, Connie went towards the front of the barn and Steven walked towards me. He walked into the barn without even seeing me, obviously thinking about what just happened.

"What was that?" I blurt out making the teen jump.

"Gosh Peridot you cant just sneak up on a guy like that!" he said rather aggressively and paused for a second to recollect himself. "We were kissing." he mumbled, his face turning a rosy pink.

"Kissing?" I questioned, cocking an eyebrow under my visor.

"Yeah, It's a thing humans do when they really like each other" he said smiling probably thinking about his friend.

"what purpose does it serve? I mean you're simply putting your face against someone else's" I reply making my hands tap each other in a pecking motion.

"No it's more than that! It's special! It shows that you care about someone." I could practically see stars in his eyes.

"hm. You may leave now." I state, sitting down on the ground in front of the forcibly made window. Who do I care about? Thoughts of the crystal gems flood through my head but only one stands out to me. The quartz. I look out to the skyline watching it change colors as the sun sets. She makes me get all....uncomfortable when we talk, and I feel so small when she is having a bad day and doesn't laugh at my jokes. When she does though... I feel huge.

*The Next Night*

Iv'e been thinking about Amethyst all day and I think I actually like her, at first I thought it was just curiosity, but I believe its more than that.

"Hey there Peridactyl, watcha watchin?" My thoughts get interrupted by a purple quartz climbing up the ladder to where I sit.

"O-oh hey Amethyst, just Camp Pining Hearts" I choke out

"Of course" She laughs and plops down next to me on the couch.

We sit there for a little bit watching Paulette and Percy flirt. "Hey Amethyst?" I say quietly my eyes not leaving the screen.

"Yeah Peri? Whats up?" she asks. I feel her looking at me and my cheeks get warmer.

"Have you ever kissed someone?" I ask turning to face her.

" Yup." the purple gem says flatly.

"oh" I say lightly not quite sure on what to say next.

"Why have you?" she pulls her legs up on the couch so they are criss-crossed underneath her.

"No, I have not"

"Well do you want to?" She asks smirking a bit

"w-what?" I choke out.

"You want to kiss me?" she repeats

"I-I mean I don't really know how to" I confess, blushing again.

"That's ok" She says getting a bit closer to me "I can show you" She leans in and kisses me. Shes so warm OH MY STARS. I catch on fast and kiss her back setting my hand on her leg cautiously. Ame smiles into the kiss a bit and pushes me over so I'm laying down and shes on top of me. I Internally scream. The purple quartz pulls away from me and smiles down at me playfully. The only word I could think to say since my mind was pretty much fried was "Woah" She chuckled and called me cute before heading back downstairs. Beliefs confirmed. I really like Amethyst.
