The Storywriting Competition News!

Holy mother of dragons guys, I finally got news on the competition!

And guess what?

I got second place out of 20+ contestants!

Ahayy, I was so happy xD

Though it was actually extremely surprising! Let me tell you why I thought so.

So, the competition takes place in another school near my school. I got into the school's computer lab, chose a computer table, and waited for the other contestants to come in. The competition has a 4 hour limit, by the way.

When the competition started, everything was going on just fine — until suddenly, the power went out! We waited but nothing happened, so the hosts from the school told us to go downstairs to another classroom and rewrite the story on paper.

Stressful.

The funny thing was, while I was writing the damn story, I fell asleep. For at least 30 minutes! It was so hot and I was so tired, and the thing is, heat drains my energy like a draining battery so I fell down unconscious. XD

I felt so unreliable lmao

Thankfully, I'm not the only one who fell asleep in the classroom. A guy next to my right also slept, lol.

So when I woke up, I only got, like, an hour left to go! I quickly wrote every element I needed in the story, but I barely even got through the second page.

When the judges told us to finish writing and collect the papers, some of the other contestants and I still tried to quickly write. Thank goodness, the judges were nice.

I was the last one in class. I took 20 extra minutes! It's crazy. They were kind enough to wait for me though. I thought they were going to reject my submission xD

I wrote, like, 5 pages xD

I got outside to meet with my seventh grader friend and my two teachers. From all of this mess, I at least got second place, an honor for being the first student on my school to get an award for joining a competition with the Indonesian language, and a new nice seventh grader friend.

And hey, she's even here, in Wattpad! She won second place for a storytelling competition. She's amazing at it when she practiced that morning before we went, and she deserves that second place UwU

If you're wondering how my story went, ...don't expect me to write it down anytime soon, ahaha.

I can only tell you, it's about a dragon who can't fly and his friend tried to help him. The dragon who can't fly is my dragon OC from my own story, "A Flamestinger's Tale," called Sharpwing; and the one who tried to help his is called Phasma. She's also my OC.

Phasma then died because of a fight against wolves, and Sharpwing was left alone. Eventually, he could finally fly, in memory of his best friend Phasma.

It's sad, I know. And hey, it's inspired by a one-shot by Eris345 in one of her books!
