Observation 5
Peter Parker has the greatest Aunt in the history of Aunts.

All day, Nellie waited and waited for the glorious ringing of the school bell to sound throughout the halls. Finally, the sound rang like music to her ears and she exited the school in such a rush, she nearly tripped coming down the school steps out front.

"Slow down there, Jinkies. I wouldn't leave without you," Peter stood at the bottom of the stairs, that familiar grin spread across his face.

Nellie laughed, running a hand through her bangs  as she gracefully hopped down from the final stair. As the days went on, she found herself a little less nervous around Peter. She was discovering that he wasn't quite as intimidating as she'd made him out to be in her head.

"Jinkies? I thought I didn't like you calling me by my last name, but making a nickname out of it might be even worse." She joked, not really caring what nickname he decided to give her. She was grateful to even be spending the evening around him.

"Well, Scooby Doo is one of the greatest shows of all time. Don't complain!" He hiked his backpack father up onto his back as they began their journey to his apartment in Queens.

Nellie rolled her eyes, giggling. Peter Parker was definitely weirder than she had anticipated, but it somehow made him more genuine. It made him more similar to her, in fact.

"So, your Aunt May doesn't care if I hang out kinda late? I don't want to intrude." She hoped he truly did want her there, even if it was just to study.

"Totally! She's the best, really. Probably the nicest person I know."

She found it endearing to hear him speak of his Aunt that way. She was more than happy, also, that she was getting out of having to spend the evening with her foster mother griping at her for this and that. Aunt May sounded like a lot better company than Bad Breath Brenda.

"So, what are your folks up to tonight? They won't miss you for dinner?" Peter inquired, not aware of her background as she was of his.

Nellie frowned, "Uh, no. I actually don't live with my parents."

"We're two peas in a pod then, huh?" He joked, looking ahead of them as they walked.

They passed by what Nellie believed may have been the same chuck of concrete she'd been kicking down the sidewalk the first day she'd seen Spider-Man. She was racking her brain all day during school thinking of how she was going to convince Peter to get her in with Tony Stark. She had a lot on her plate recently—from writing the secret article about Peter to now wanting to write a cover story on the local hero spider guy.
