"Sutton, that's not what you're wearing." I heard Hunter's voice was stern and then there was a door slamming followed by stomping and yelling. Hunter came into our room and shook his head, "Did you know she has a crop top?" he gestured to the amount of her midsection that was uncovered. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

We were in Australia for the Tamworth music festival and were enjoying the last few days to do some fun things with the family. I knocked on Sutton's door to try and reconcile with her. "Sutton can I come in?"

"Fine," She said begrudgingly, "I have nothing to wear." I looked as her suitcase was empty, clothes scattered around the room.

"Quick reminder, you're fourteen and your tummy needs to be covered." I shuffled through her clothes and offered to wash some stuff for her and we agreed on a different top.

"Mom, quick question.." She said, her expression was peculiar, "when would it be acceptable to wear a crop top."

"Preferably never." I laughed, although she didn't think it was funny. "Sutton, relax. Maybe when you're older but don't rush growing up." She nodded, and agreed to change before we headed to the Kid Zone indoor park.

"Australia reminds me of driving around at home on the bus." Easton said, looking out the window of the rental suv.

"How so?" Beckett asked, "oh look - is that a kangaroo?"

Hunter slowed down and indeed, there was a kangaroo making its way across the plains. "Indeed it is, good eye Beck." Hunter said before pulling back on to the road. We enjoyed the scenery, warm weather and music over the two week stay.

"I hope we can come back here." Beckett said as we spent our last evening packing up our suitcases, "it was nice being in a house." He was right, we rented a house which made our stay much more comfortable than a stuffy hotel.

"I agree with you," I smiled, "did you have fun?" I turned my attention to Easton and Sutton.

"Yes, we got to do a lot." Sutton mentioned her favourite was one of the national parks we went to where we had a picnic and a hike. Easton said his favourite was the zoo.

The flight was long, especially with three kids in tow. Time change was a kicker and we spent the first full day back home, not even concerned about the kids rushing back to school. "Laundry is done." I flopped onto the bed beside Hunter, "I'm wiped, holy crap." He mumbled and I rolled over closer to him, gently rubbing his back.

"Mom," I heard Sutton knocking on the door, "can I come in?"

"Yeah." I rolled back over.

"Can I hang out with Jake?"

"We haven't had dinner, umm, won't you see Jake at school tomorrow?" I tied my hair up into a pony tail before she answered.

"It's Friday mom." She started walking out the door, "This time change really messed you up." I followed her, intending to wake her brothers.

"Gosh you have no idea. How about Jake can come over later, let us get dinner first okay?"

"Thanks mom," she hugged me, "I love you."

"Love you, Sutton."
