"Sutton, incredible performance sweetheart," I hugged Sutton and turned to Easton, "that was a fantastic play." Hunter agreed and we made our way out of the school and headed home, discussing all things summer.

Courtney: Sorry it's late & a school night, can you meet me in the office tomorrow?

Jenna: Yes, is 9:30 OK? Gotta take kiddos to school.

Courtney: Perfect! Thanks.

I turned to Hunter, "I have to go up to the office tomorrow, what do you have planned?"

Hunter sighed, "Tomorrow is Friday?" I nodded, "Rehearsal and prep for CMA."

"Okay cool." His hand interlaced mine as we cruised down the freeway toward home.

"Jenna, good morning." I walked into the bright, spacious board room at the label office to meet with Courtney. "How was Sutton's play?"

"She did amazing, it was well done." I smiled and grabbed a seat next to her. "So, what's up?"

"A lot," she sighed, "first, wonderful job getting those songs to Holly Jade - she is going to take both of them, you and Kyle get the credits for that so I just need you to review and sign this." She handed me a blue folder. I reviewed the writing credits for spelling and dating before initialing the forms. "Thank you," she skimmed through her list before looking at me, "you've been aware that your contract with Atlantic is coming to an end, and we truly appreciate what you've done for the label and for country music." I nodded and Courtney continued, "I don't know where you're at, and if you want to go on tour or what, or would you consider taking a look at these two documents that were couriered over late yesterday." She handed me two envelopes, clearly labeled.

Jenna Hayes (C/O Atlantic Records) 32 Bridge Entertainment Co.

Jenna Hayes (C/O Atlantic Records) Broken Bow Records

My heart skipped a beat before Courtney brought me back down to earth, "These are likely new record deals or offers. I suggest you take them home, talk to Hunter."

"Yeah, absolutely. Thank you." I hugged Courtney before gathering up my envelopes and headed to the car. I had to call Hunter.

"Hey babe, everything okay?"

"I don't know. I just got two record offers couriered to the office. I haven't looked at them yet."

"Wow, really?" He paused, "That's amazing Jen, how do you feel?"

"Overwhelmed. Surprised. We should look at them together. One's Broken Bow, the other is thirty two bridge."

"Wow. Well, we will for sure take a look tonight sweetheart. I won't be much longer. I love you Jen."

"Love you too Hunt."

I hung up the phone before heading home, taking a deep breath, thinking to myself that maybe this is a sign. Perhaps I am meant to keep working, keep singing.
