"Hey bud," Hunter and I marched into the school office, partly panicked to clarify the situation, "you okay?" Beckett shrugged and nodded.

"Come tell us and Mr. Syke what happened." The principal also welcomed the school counselor into the now crammed office. I sat beside Beckett while Hunter stood behind him, placing a hand on both our shoulders.

"So I was playing soccer with Bentley, Jacob and Simon when the ball rolled past me and I went to the bushes." He paused, his voice cracking a little bit and his eyes meeting mine for reassurance. I nodded him on and squeezed his hand, "there was a guy, he had dark hair and a beard. He had a big camera around his neck," he stretched his hands to justify the size of the telescopic lens, "I ran out of there and told Miss Zimmerman.... and I didn't get the ball back." The counselor  took notes and the principal reassured Hunter and I.

"We immediately called police but they were unable to locate the person Beckett described, and we confirmed that your other two children were at play rehearsal." He sighed and sat back, "I would like to work alongside you as to how we can move forward from this." I looked up at Hunter, and he nodded before I looked back at Beckett.

"Beckett, you did everything right by getting a teacher and telling us what happened. Sadly this is more to do with your dad and I than it does you," I searched his grey eyes as they were filled with fear, "what would make you feel better?"

"I don't want to go outside at recess." My heart sunk, knowing that he didn't mean it, but he was petrified.

"If that's what you want, then that's fine." I looked at Mr. Syke, "Is there any way Beckett can volunteer in the play or maybe spend his recesses in the library?"

"Sure." He reaffirmed, "And Beckett, if you decide you want to go outside, you can walk with one of the supervising teachers." Beckett nodded.

"Can I just go home early today?" Hunter nodded and took Beckett to get his belongings while I talked more with the principal.

"Beckett is more sensitive than his brother and sister. This will really shake him up. Is there anything the police can do?" The principal discussed with me and provided the name of the investigating officer. "Thank you." I shook his hand before leaving to catch up with Beckett and Hunter.

"We have to go to the studio Beck," Hunter said, turning the key, "do you have some homework to do?"

"Yeah, math and science," he sighed, "thank you for getting me. I'm feeling kind of scared still." I looked back and his eyes brimmed with tears.

"Oh Beckett baby," I reached my hand back, "I can't imagine how scary that was." He squeezed my hand and sniffled. I looked at Hunter, my heart aching that I couldn't fix this.  He leaned his head against the window and I passed him a tissue to catch his tears. We arrived back at the studio and Hunter spoke to the band while I got Beckett situated, "we just have another hour." I kissed his head and joined Hunter.

Time wore on and in the blink of an eye we demo'ed two songs that would be going to the shelf. "Becks, let's pack up and go get Sutton and Easton." He obliged, packed up his books and headed out to the car.

"So buddy, I'm starting to look at summer camps, is there anything you want to do?" I turned over my shoulder to see a smile roll onto his lips.

"Can we look at golf camp?" He beamed and I nodded before seeing the same smile plastered on Hunter's face.
