"That's a wrap," Luke threw his hands up in the air, declaring all my tracks have been cut, "way to go Jen!" I came out of the booth, beaming. "We are going to get into production and by March first, you will have your fifth studio album and first record with thirty two bridge entertainment!"
"This one might just be called Revelation." I said, catching Kyle's attention.
"That's perfectly fitting." Kyle smiles before we headed out of the studio. I thanked my band for their overtime and wished them the happiest of holidays.
As they usually do, the holidays passed in a whirlwind. Our time was spent between our families and friends but Hunter surprised us with the greatest gift of all, "We need some family down time, and I think the best way to do that is to unplug and head to Dominican Republic... We leave tomorrow." The kids were incredibly excited, and I was speechless.
He wrapped his arms around me as I locked my eyes to his, "This will be wonderful."
He nodded, "I know next year will be crazy for you, and I'm so happy and proud. We need to unplug, reconnect with the kids... I feel like they are old enough to understand these big changes but their lives are getting busier too." I thought about what Hunter was saying, and we noticed how more prevalent the media has been, always outside of the studio, at the stores and even following us to the ranch or golf range.
"Hunter I am so happy to get this time with you all." We wrapped up our Christmas day with Lynette and Leo before heading to the airfield early on December 26th. The four day trip was exactly what our family needed to reconnect, unwind and reset before the busyness of the new year took hold.
