Lately, I've been, I've been thinking.

Tree strolled across the grass, thinking to himself.

I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier.

What was it that was bothering him so much?

When the morning comes..

He saw Firey and Leafy, hugging. Everyone else with a valentine...

When we see what we've become.

He wants to know what he's feeling.

In the cold light of day we're a flame in the wind.
His mind reverts back to what happened.

Not the fire that we've begun..

His and Pen's argument.

Every argument, every word we can't take back.

All he did was make Pencil cheat on him.. Not that bad, right?

'Cause with all that has happened.

Tree has this feeling..

I think that we both know the way that this story ends.

He wants to make Pen pay, 'cause he doesn't feel right leaving the incident behind just like that. Without any 'sorries'.

Then only for a minute, I want to change my mind.

He wants...

'Cause this just don't feel right to me.

Pen to be...

I want to raise your spirits, I want to see you smile but know that means..

Happier..

I'll have to leave.

How would he make his ex-best friend happy, though?

Pay.

Lately, I've been, I've been thinking..

He wants Pen to PAY.

No. He wants Pen to be happy.. But.. How..?

When the evening falls.

He decides to walk home. He isn't in the mood to start a fight with Pen again.

And I'm left there with my thoughts.

His mind focuses onto the fight yesterday.

And the image of you being with someone else.

Pen had said 'I thought you were better than I thought!'

Well, it's eating me up inside.

Tree replied with a grunt.

But we ran our course, we pretended we're okay.

Pen then carried on saying, calming down a bit, 'I... Don't even know why I felt that way about you..' Looking to the ground. He tried to hide his tears.

Now if we jump together at least we can swim.

His mind then focuses onto the phrase, 'I felt that way about you.'

Far away from the wreck we made.

What did he mean?

Then only for a minute.

Did Pen... Have a...

Tree wanted to find out. But.. He needs to..

But how..?

Tree writes a letter and puts it into the envelope box in Pen's house.

Then leaves without any trace of being present. Like he was never there.

Pen woke up the next morning.. He did his normal morning routine, but before going to breakfast stage, he saw a folded letter in his envelope box.

He grabbed it.

Opened it.

And Pen read it out aloud to no one in particular...

"Dear Pen,

Hey. Sorry about before. I didn't mean to hurt you like that. You don't deserve it after all you've done for me. But, by the time you've read this.. I've moved. Forever. I figured out. What you wanted. Would for me to be gone for good... I... Didn't know this but I love you. A lot. I probably made Pencil cheat on you only because I was jealous that you two were known as the 'cutest couple'. I wanted to be in Pencil's place. I wanted to be with you. But. That won't ever happen now. Because. I'm making you Happier.

Yours Sincerely, Tree."

Anyways, yes, I'm not dead. I just wanted a break from Wattpad. For like 3 weeks, so yeah. But I'm back! woooooo.
