I opened the door and Lucy's scent sent me flying. I stared into the dark room and couldn't see anyone in my vision. I entered cautiously, only hearing the tap of my sandals across the room.

"Lucy?" I whispered. Where was she? Her aroma filled this room, there is no possible way she can't be in here...unless... I was too late! No! I couldn't be, I just heard her call after me not too long ago.

"Are you looking for something?" I turned around with my hands clutched into a fist. This scent... this was the scent I smelt that was similar to mine. But... how could someone smell identical to me?

"Show yourself!" I shouted with furry, I was only getting angry. Who the hell is this guy! I lit my hand with my flames and that's when saw her. Lucy... on a bed with ropes tied to her wrists on and ankles. She wasn't moving and her face was...it was...it was...black? And her clothes... I scanned her figure and saw that her clothes was ripped, exposing flesh and wounds. I was so overwhelmed by the site that beheld me that I didn't think twice about my surroundings. Why? I ran to her but was stopped right in my tracks. I grabbed my chest in pain and fell onto one knee, gasping for air. I couldn't breathe, my lungs felt like like they were bursting and I coughed.

"Hello, Natsu." I looked up to the direction of the voice in front of me and wiped my chin from the blood that spilled from my mouth. Still trying to gasp for air, I was shaking. For once, I was absolutely terrified. The person.. this particular one, was the least of my expectations.

"It's very rude not to greet me, it's been awhile, brother." He snapped his fingers and I gasped for air. Feeling some sort of relief, I fell onto both my hands and knees and coughed rapidly as if someone had just strangled me.

"What...what do you want from Lucy." I coughed once more before collectively getting back onto my feet, I felt completely drained of my energy but just from one attack?

"What do I want?" He laughed and slowly walked to Lucy, clapping his hands twice at the same time. The lights came on but it was dim.

"Isn't it obvious? How can I put this simply...you see...I found this one quit entertaining." He bent over Lucy and grabbed her chin to face him.

"Don't you lay a finger on her!!!! I'll kill you Zeref!" I charged for him but he tsked.

"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk..." He pronounced and wagged his pointer finger at me.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." I suddenly was sent backwards onto a wall, pinned by chains.

"Let Lucy go!! This is just between you and I! Leave her out of this!"

"Oh? But that wouldn't make it fun would it?"

"Na..tsu..." My eyes shot over to Lucy who wasn't fully conscious.

"Well, well, look who finally awoke..my princess. Natsu, I forgot to mention." He said walking back to Lucy and grabbing her chin harshly once more.

"This women you see here," he said inching closer to her face and looking at me.

"...will be my lawfully wedded wife." Laughing and licking her lips.

"Don't... TOUCH HER!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed trying to free my chains. I looked down with tears running down my cheeks.

"Don't be so excited Natsu, don't worry.. you'll be watching.. first class seating I reserved just for you." What have I done? I've lost her. I've failed her...no. Not yet I haven't.

"If you lay one more finger on her, I'm going to kill you." I said without expression.

"Oh really? Still got some fight left in you I see." I engulfed my body in flames, out of anger and out of revengeance.

"Now that is what I want to see, release your black flames Natsu. Show me what you are really capable of."

"I don't think you really do." I whispered to myself and laughed at the thought.
