Another Search Party (An Elsword Fanfic)

Chapter 14

       Azure didn't exactly know what she should do. If she got closer to fight in a close range, she'd compromise her long range advantage and vice versa. Even if she had the advantage from long range at the moment, she couldn't risk taking a shot since she could possible hit one of her new comrades. Servius seemed to be a strong opponent too.

       Risui was just about to punch him but Servius caught his fist with ease all while dodging Kai's attack. Servius then used Risui as a weapon and slammed him into Reya who was just then getting up from being pushed earlier. "Out of my way!" Raiden shouted as he charged at Servius. He litterally charged up with yellow lightning as he ran at Servius.

       The battle soon got heated with Raiden throwing lightning fast punches but all Servius did was use his wings as a sort of shield. Reya and Risui had recovered with Reya now sending her dagger towards the distracted dragon's back. The hit landed only for it to merely pierce Servius' clothing. Servius huffed with agitation and opened his wings and reclosing them with great force causing Raiden to be sent backward.

       Wind surrounded Servius and was sent in all directions. "I said it before already. I try not to hit girls...however if you keep trying to stab me, I'll have no choice but to go on the offensive," Servius said do Reya. She responded by going into an awakening state, her entire body encasing itself in pink flames.

       "You'll burn just as that particular village that you destroyed did!" Reya spat. She then jumped at him, a runes in hand, ready to unleash them onto Servius but he quick and acted before she did. "Reya!!" Kai and Raiden called out. It was too late even for Kai and Raiden's lighting speed. Servius had created a white sphere of energy that was no bigger than the palm of his hand and hit Reya in the stomach with it before she could perform her skill.

      She was stopped mid air and fell to the ground unmoving. Servius backed away from her and began to walk away toward Azure. She still couldn't shoot him yet since he was still too close to her new comrades. "Reya, no wake up!" Kai said as he went to her, trying desperately to wake her up.

       "She's not dead but she'll be out of commission for a bit. I suggest you get her immediate medical attention," Servius said, walking away. "Where do you think you're going! We're not done with you!" Raiden yelled as he charged at Servius. The scene was pretty bad. Servius punched Raiden square in the face, sending him crashing into one of the pillars that held up the front of the ruins.

      The broken pillar crashed into another, causing it to collapse as well. The whole front of the ruins began to fall. Azure had no choice. She shot several missiles from her destoyer, blasting apart some of the falling structure but she could not save Kazumi who was still there. Raiden, Risui, and Kai who held Reya were all clear of the debris but Kazumi was not.

       Then something surprising happened. Servius flew back under the falling rocks, reaching Kazumi just in time and flying back with her. He set her down and faced everyone...just when he was stabbed in his open wound by Raiden's sword. "Hands off the fox," Raiden growled. Servius, shocked by the sudden attack, looked at Raiden with surprise at first.

       Then he began to form another white sphere of energy but Raiden pushed his sword deeper into Servius' wound causing him to wince. Servius glared at Raiden, making the sphere of energy larger and blasted Raiden with it in an instant. The force of the blow caused Raiden to fly backwards an he was knocked out from the impact of hitting the ground. His sword was still embedded in Servius' side.

      Servius pulled it free, wincing of course, and threw it aside. He didn't have time to react to Kai's attack but it didn't do much anyway. However, unlike Reya's attack, Kai was able to scratch Servius' scales. Kai continued to unforgivingly slash Servius with the blade, only scratching the scales but still doing damage. Then Kai got an idea and slashed Servius across the face.

      It was a slightly deep cut that Servius hadn't expected and had pushed Kai away from him when he'd gotten the cut. Servius kept a hand over the cut and glared at Kai but his attention was caught by something else. Azure couldn't be sure what that was but she didn't care at the moment. She had a chance and she took it, shooting several missiles right at Servius and getting a direct hit.

       He was blasted backwards and he most certainly felt that blow. Kai took this as a chance to kick Servius back down to the ground and stab him in his open wound again to which Servius let out a sharp yelp of pain and anger. "Die!" Kai spat as he restabbed him. Servius had had enough though. He truly was done with Another Search Party.

       He formed another sphere of energy and shoved it to the ground, breaking it and creating a small creator that he and Kai fell into. He then removed Kai's sword and jumped away from Kai, spreading his wings and shooting up into the air. Once there, he began to form a white spear that spread out in a potentially deadly radius for Another Search Party.

       "Guys, you have to get away from there!" Azure shouted. But they couldn't. For some reason, none of them could move. Azure was at the very edge of the attack's blast radius but even she would have severe injuries once that attack landed. Then suddenly someone could be heard shouting. "Code of Chivalry!" the voice said. A red colored skill directly hit Servius, knocking him from the sky and off into some other ruins somewhere.

       "What were you guys thinking?! You could have been killed!" the same voice shouted at them. "Elesis?!" Kai said with an obvious hint of fear in his voice. Elesis was indeed there, walking towards them from Azure's direction. "You and your team were lucky that I was nearby. Who told you to attack a major target like Servius?!" Elesis yelled at Kai as she continued to walk to him.

      "I...Chung, he...we were..." Kai was saying, not knowing exactly what to say. "Don't blame this on my father!" Azure shouted at Kai. Elesis gave Azure a quick glare that sent chills down her spine. Azure didn't dare say another word. "I'm just...glad that you're okay," Elesis said as she hugged Kai who flinched from the unexpected hug. "He got away...Servius got away," Kai said in sheer disappointment. "We'll go talk about back at camp," Elesis said as she let Kai go and waited for him to get his team together.
