Another Search Party (An Elsword Fanfic)

Chapter 7

Shiro-sama another one.

A few hours earlier.

Kai is zooming around Velder heading to the marina on the dark chaser that Elsword just gave to him. "Crap I might miss the boat," Kai roars in his mind as he cuts a corner into an alley. "Thanks, Elsword. But good thing I sent Reya and Raiden before me. They would've slowed me down and now I get to see what this baby can do," Kai thinks as he as he revs the engine again. He sees the boat has already started to leave then he sees a conveniently placed plank in the position of a ramp. He thinks, "Eh, yolo!" And rides up the ramp and flies through the air. Kai lands in the middle of the deck with a triumphant smile right in front of Reya and Raiden.

"That entrance was over the top. What is with the motorcycle? You know what don't answer that." Raiden says in an annoyed tone while Reya's face was in a very intimate relationship with her palm.

Kai sighs as he says, "Can't you enjoy the theatrics. I thought it was pretty cool." But Raiden rolls his eyes and walks away.

"Kai, be serious, do you really think that it is a good idea for Kazumi to meet Raiden? I mean we both know where he stands with his viewpoints on other species. He views them as tools and he hates demons, what do you think he's going to do." Reya questions Kai.

"Reya, Raiden hates me, doesn't he. I am still alive, right? And plus your here if he tries anything. I trust your recruiting decision. You made it so you must have seen something in Raiden that I didn't, trust that." Kai says reassuring his girlfriend then sits down next to her.

"You're way too good at this boyfriend talk," Reya says as she puts her head on Kai's shoulder.

Kai smiles then say, "I've been planning this for a few years now so I should be good at this stuff anyway." After a couple a couple minutes they fall asleep. 

Raiden looks at a school of fish swim by the by the boat. He begins to look at the fish at the front of the school. Envy begins to seep into his heart as he glances at Kai who was sleeping peacefully with the beautiful Reya resting on his shoulder. "Look at him, he has everything. Money, power, looks, and Reya. He doesn't even have to work for half of the crap he has just because he has natural talents. I'll outshine you. I will become the most powerful person in this pathetic and hopeless world. I swear it." Raiden says to himself. After a couple of hours, the ship finally docks at Isshin. "Who are we meeting? Just tell me already." Raiden says with slightly less hostility than usual.

"Just wait. You'll see when we meet them." Reya chides Raiden

Raiden analyzes what Reya just said then says, "So, we're meeting more than one person. Choose your words wisely, that mouth of yours would be very problematic if you were being interrogated."

"We have to get off now. Come on we only have three hours until the next departure." Kai says gesturing to the sailors walking off the boat. 

"Kai, where is your dark chaser?" Raiden asks noticing that it was gone.

Kai laughs then points to his inventory ring hanging on from his necklace, "Wow for someone so perceptive that sure did fly over your head." Kai says jokingly.

"That inventory ring was issued by the government for professional use. You shouldn't be using it to hold your crapy motorcycle." Raiden snarls. 

"Both of you stop. You're acting like children." Reya scolds them as she steps in between them.

They head into the forest. Kai begins to think, "I really hope Raiden doesn't do anything stupid. He could ruin the trust that I spent multiple potions to gain. If I'm not careful Raiden might ruin it."

"Hey! What are you doing here!" Raiden yells at some strange creature, interrupting Kai's trait of thought.

"Sh*t!" Kai thinks as he knows how wrong this could go for him and his plans. Kai grabs Raiden's shoulder and says, "Calm down. Let me explain."

All of a sudden Raiden can taste the power that he yearned for and yanks away his shoulder from Kai's grasps. "Let you explain, my a*ss. I know what you were trying to hide from me." Raiden yells at Kai then begins to chase after the creature that just happened to be a sacred fox. Just before Kai and Reya begin to chase after him he uses a monster card to summon an Ancient Nasod Gaurd. Raiden looks back one last time and says, "I hope you guys survive this to witness my glory after I get my nine-tailed fox."

Present time

"Kazumi, get out of here," Risui says looking out the corner of his eyes to causing Raiden to attack. Raiden blast yellow lightning at Risui causing him to jump out the way. Then Raiden makes a b-line for Kazumi. Risui focuses his dark energy to his legs and arms launches himself at Raiden who blocks the punch with the flat side of the sword. Raiden slashes at Risui but he bends backwards to dodge the blade coming at him. But he leaves in torso open which Raiden take advantage of by punching him with a fist full of lightning driving Risui into the ground. Risui coughs up some blood.

"Nice try demon but you're not denying me of my destiny!" Raiden growls in a manic manner. He drives his sword down but Risui rolls out the way and sweeps Raiden's feet. Risui then jumps up and drills his fist into Raiden's face giving him a bloody nose. Then Raiden swings his legs as momentum and wraps them around Risui's arm and jujitsu throws him. Risui crashes into the ground landing on the same arm that was used to throw him. Risui knows it's dislocated but due to the adrenaline, he doesn't feel the pain. Raiden's yellow lightning begins to engulf him forming his aura.

Risui knew what exactly what this was. It was one final decisive blow to end this whole battle. So, in turn, Risui just lets his dark energy loose just for this one moment. Black and purple energy engulf Risui's body. Then at high speeds, Risui and Raiden charge at each other! "I won't let you hurt Kazumi!" Risui yells. 

"She is my destiny, my power! Not your!" Raiden roars as he slashes Risui deep across the chest but not before Risui lands a devasting punch which reverberates all throughout Raiden's body. The impact of the clash obliterates the ground that they were both standing on. When the dust settled both their clothes were torn and shredded as smoke and steam run off of them. Both of them unable to move.

Risui powers through the pain and grin saying, "She's not yours. She's mine." But then Raiden pulls out of his pockets a blue potion and a red potion and drinks them healing all of his wounds and replenishing his mana.

Raiden rips off the tattered rags that were once his shirt and jacket revealing his muscular physique with multiple scars running up and down it. He points his sword at Risui and says, "Repeat what you just said." But before Risui could speak Raiden blasts Risui with yellow lightning which pierces through his abdomen and slams him into a boulder. Risui's blood splatters against the boulder but Risui still gets up and squares up determined to protect Kazumi.

Raiden walks over to Risui but Risui doesn't move. Raiden blows on Risui causing him to collapse. Raiden starts laughing then says, "Now I am impressed. Passing out while standing, that is incredible. You might be more interesting than I thought but the time for fun and games is over." Raiden raises his sword getting ready to kill Risui until a red bolt of lightning strikes right between Raiden and Risui. Kai emerges from the lightning with killer intent in his eyes. "Kai, always one for the snazy entrance aren't you," Raiden says with disdain in his voice now pointing his sword at Kai.

Kai's face remains unchanged, then he says, "It's not me you have to worry about it's the woman behind you."

Raiden turns around to see some of the forests in bright pink flames and emerging from the forest was Reya with fire just running off her body. She pulls her daggers out and begins to drag them by the chain as they make a screeching sound grinding against the rocks. She walks into the river and the water begins to evaporate with each step. "Raiden!" Reya roars.
