Another Search Party (An Elsword Fanfic)

Chapter 4

Shiro-sama back at it again with another chapter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The party of Kai and himself finally get off the ship at Velder Marina. "Thanks for the ride capt.!" Kai says as he jumps off the ship and onto the docks.

The Captain waves back at James and says, "No problem kid, but next time bring that beautiful friend of yours, what was her name again Rena... no... Ran... nah that is not right um... ah... Reya that's right, bring that pretty girlfriend of yours next time!"

"She's not my girlfriend! At least not yet!" Kai yells back at the sailor man. "But to be honest, I really wish Reya was actually interested in me. But I have to turn in my report in, I'll visit her later anyway." Kai thinks as he leaves Port Lurensia and begins to walk on Harmony road. He takes in the beauty of the city. 

"It's crazy how they rebuilt this place, huh. When I was your age this place was on literal fire. Your dad almost died here if it weren't for Elesis." A woman's voice says behind Kai causing him to turn around.

"Miss Aisha! Why are you here? Shouldn't you be doing something important like teaching a class at Aether?" Kai asks which makes Aisha roll her eyes.

"Kai, I hope you know that you have to loosen up. Stop being so focused on responsibilities sometimes. You're still a kid, enjoy it. Don't be like your dad." Aisha says then sighs after.

Kai now slightly annoyed says, "He's not my father he is my legal guardian and if I take time to enjoy life that will take time away from me finding whatever killed my family and destroyed my village. Miss Aisha with all due respect stop giving me pointers on my life. I am doing just fine." Then Kai walks away.

"Jeez, Elsword he resembles you a little too much it's almost sickening." Aisha thinks as she watches Kai storm off.

"Who in Elyria's name does she think she is telling me how to live my life. Unlike her I still have things I need to accomplish. I can't believe that bum used to like her. I don't get how people like them saved the world," Kai screams in his head as he storms off discharging a little bit or red electricity with every step. He eventually finds himself in town. He pulls out his Nas.iod and presses the speech bubble icon and goes to Reya's tab.

Kai- I'm back in town. 

After a few minutes of walking to Knight Emperor's office, his phone finally vibrates and a notification pops up on it.

Reya- Great wanna get something to eat. Or we could go to a nice place for dinner consider it a date since you haven't been home for a while.

Kai- Cool where is Raiden doe?

Reya- He is in Lanox right now dealing with some personal issues or something like dat idk.

Kai- Oh, see at seven?

Reya- Why so early? Daddy wants you to get home early for father-son bonding time.

Kai- *middle finger emoji*

Reya- How about nine?

Kai- Sure, but I gtg just got to Vanessa's desk gotta turn in my report.

Reya- See you later then

Vanessa smiles at Kai and says, "How was your little voyage. The Knight Emperor has been missing you. Visit him before you go and do whatever you kids your age do nowadays, how nice it is to be young."

"Oh, crap, better end this conversation fast before she goes and starts rambling on about her days as a soldier," Kai thinks causing him to cut Vanessa off and say, "Yeah, I'll visit him but I am going to do a little sparring after so really don't have that much time on my hands right now so bye!" Then he promptly passes by her desk and heads for the large door at the end of the hallway with a sign saying "Knight Emperor" on it. Before he walks in, he takes a quick breath then kicks the doors open. "I'm back!" 

Hidden by mounds of paper, Elsword pops up and lunges with the face of a loving father towards Kai."Kai my beloved ward! Give me a hug!" Kai instantly sidesteps the red-haired knight. "Aw, that is cold. Come on give me a hug and kiss. This old man has been drained of all his energy doing all this paperwork." 

Then Kai zaps Elsword with a little electricity as he tries for a second attempt for a hug. Kai looks at his adoptive father with slight disgust, "First of all, you're 24, not an old man. If anything you are in your prime. Since I said hi, I'll be leaving now."

But before Kai turns around and walks out Elsword grabs his wrist firmly and says, "Alright, but before you go we still need to talk about something important. Recently I have been getting a lot of requests from nobles and other higher-ups for your hand in marriage. I feel like some of these are pretty interesting offers and could go a long way for political ties with Velder. Just consider it okay, I know your dream isn't indefinite peace but give it a chance you know." 

"What? Why are you getting marriage offers for me? I'm a guy isn't that for princesses and stuff. Why are you trying to marry me off? You know what how about get married to Miss Rose before you give me pointers about my love life!" Kai yells at Elsword which ends up with both of them slightly embarrassed

Then Vanessa walks in with a stack of papers but quickly analyzing the situation and says, "I'll think I'll come back later."  Then leaves the stack of papers on Elsword's desk and bolts out of the office.

"Look, Elsword I am sorry I didn't mean what I said," Kai says now ashamed of himself. "I'll leave now."

"Kai, it's okay I get you're in that stage of life where you going through bodily changes and your extremely angsty because of that. It is totally understandable that you snap like that sometimes," Elsword says which causes Kai to blast him with electricity again.

9 pm

Kai waits at the door of the restaurant wearing a black suit with a red tie holding roses. He checks his Nas.iod again slightly sweating from nervousness. "Wow, you look really good in that suit." A familiar voice says. Kai up to see a beautiful girl with pink hair that fades into red and goldish brown eyes. She was wearing a white dress that showed off her curves with red heels. "So what do you think?" She says.

Kai just stands there dumbfounded by her beauty. Eventually, he recovers her mental faculties. "I... um...  Reya wow, just wow," Kai says blushing.

"Do I really look that good in this dress? Well anyways let's go in... wait," Reya walks up to face to face with Kai to the point where he could feel her breath. His face now fully red to the point that red electricity is popping and sizzling around his head. Then Reya tightens his tie then pulls him into the restaurant. After an hour or so they walk out of the restaurant. Reya looks up at the moon and says, "The night is beautiful, right."

Kai looks up at the moon and says, "Yeah, you're right. Um... Reya I want to ask you something."

Reya looks at Kai and says, "You want to ask me if I wanted to be your girlfriend right?"

"How did you know?" Kai asks

"Kai, you might be pretty good at seducing women but when it comes to basics you're still a newb." Reya answers. 

Kai regains his composure and says, "So, what do you think."

Reya kisses Kai which catches him off guard then says, "I think you know the answer."
