Chapter 15

"Can you please let me go?" Kai says currently in Elesis's hug/headlock as they leave the ruins that just crumbled to dust with the rest of the group.

"When are you going to stop being so stupid?" Elesis retorts causing Kai to frown and look away. 

Risui begins to think while carrying an unconscious Kazumi, "Why wasn't I ready for that? I claim that I can protect Kazumi but it was that blonde jerk who did it!" Risui's frustration begins show causing Hoya to kick him in the shin. "What the heck Hoya!" He yells but Hoya does not entertain Risui's tantrum.

As Kai struggles in Elesis's arm causing Reya to say, "Um, excuse me Ms. Elesis could you please let go of Kai?"  

"Really? Where do you get off seducing my adorable Kai into a relationship?" Elesis growls at Reya tightening her arm around Kai's head. "I don't remember telling you, you could have my baby, Kai.

The group eventually gets to camp where Elesis finally let's go of Kai who was woefully embarrassed. "We didn't need your help," Kai grumbles. 

Elesis looks at Kai with compassion and says, "It's okay. Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew, this was a learning experience. So, don't worry you will improve."

"Are you patronizing me!? Another Search has what it takes to beat the strongest in the world. I am not a little kid and I don't need your protection or Elsword!" Kai yells at Elesis.

Elesis sighs then says, "Prove it to me. Fight me one on one." 

Then without hesitation, Kai draws his sword and says, "Fine." Then Kai moves at the speed of lightning as his sword collides with Elesis's.  Kai begins to generate red lightning and roars, "Discharge level 1!" then he explodes discharging red electricity catching Elesis off guard. 

But, Elesis emerges from the attack unfazed as grabs Kai by his leg and throws him into a tree, she says, "Still not good enough." Elesis's comment angers Kai as he throws a spear of lightning at her but she catches it with no effort and throws it back at Kai purposefully missing his head. "Are you content now?" Elesis says.

"Alright, it looks like you haven't lost a step. So you ready to get serious." Kai says while stretching.  "75% Power Output," Kai says as his aura lightning grows. He stabs his sword into the ground and puts is hand together and says, "Clap of the thunder god!" Then a powerful blast of lightning explodes from Kai's palm sending him flying backward. Then Elesis backhands the attack up into the sky which pierces through multiple clouds and explodes in the distance.

"Kai, first of all, you're too tired to fight me. Second of all that was too dangerous what if your limiter broke?" Elesis scolds Kai who is huffing and puffing barely able to stand upwards.

Without energy, Kai roars, "Shut up about my limiters. I am able to control all of my power!" Then Kai's aura begins to erupt violently as his earing shatters causing the red lightning turns to a more sinister darker crimson lightning. Kai rips his sword from the ground as he begins to grow long horns of lightning on his protruding from his forehead. Kai growls violently  

Elesis awakens causing her body to become flames. "Explosive Fist!" Elesis yells blast Kai with fire but he dodges it and slashes Elesis in her shoulder savagely. But Elesis grabs Kai's wrist and pulls him into a punch slamming him into the ground creating the shock wave. "Kai! Come to your senses!" Elesis roars as she pins him onto the ground. She takes an earing just like the one Kai was wearing out of her pocket and forces it on Kai. His lightning horns disappear as he passes out from the strain.

"What was that?"Raiden exclaims in shock as Elesis nurses her wound. "Is Kai a demon?" he begins to think.

"Reya, we need to talk now!" Elesis growls as she gestures to the giant tree in the background. They both jump to the top of the tree. "What did I send you to Velder for Reya?" Elesis ask aggressively 

"Why are you mad at me! You're the one who pushed him to the point where he broke his limiter!" Reya barks back angrily.

Elesis anger explodes as she sets the tree ablaze as she yells, "I gave you strict rules to follow when interacting with Kai! He is not a normal person! Kai is single handely the second greatest threat to Elrios and you decide to date him!? I told you don't get emotionally attached! He's not your friend he is your assignment! Instead of him protecting you, you should be protecting him!" The flames die out living a singed tree.

Reya patients slip as she yells, "I'm wrong!? Really that's coming for you! The one who projects her past failures onto someone else so she can feel better! I'm sorry if I have a heart and feelings! Oh yeah, one more thing, Kai isn't Elsword, so stop treating him like he is!"

Elesis's eyes flare with a bright orange fire while Reya's eyes flare with pink flames. Raiden questions if he should get between the teacher and pupil but eventually works up the courage to intervene, he says, "Um, excuse me Miss Elesis I think it would be best if you took your leave now. Not to be rude or anything. And thank you for saving us."

Elesis scoffs but the fire in her eyes sizzle away as she says, "Alright I get it don't I'm invading your privacy I'll stop overstepping my boundaries. When Kai wakes up tell him I love him and I had to leave early to follow a lead in Elrianode."

Risui and Raiden nod in understanding while Reya storms off in anger. Risui looks at Raiden and says, "Whew, crisis averted." pointing at Elesis walking off into to the distance. 

Kazumi bursts up from the ground and yells, "NO NOT THE TAIL!!!"
