Gilbert and Anne trotted down the dusty path and came to a sudden halt.
"Why did u stop?" Anne wondered
"To put this on you" Gilbert said while tying a blind fold over Annes eyes,
Anne grinned and they continued to ride until Anne could hear the crashing of waves against rocks and the smell of salty goodness.
"Gilbert.."Anne stammered
"Yes Anne?"Gilbert smirked
"Are we at the SEASIDE??!" Anne beamed
"Why yes we are" Gilbert chuckled awfully pleased with himself.
Anne jumped of the horse, undid her blind gold and sprinted towards the beach ,(yes in that order).
Anne inhaled the fresh air and took of her shoes.
"Anne wait!" Gilbert cried he didn't want her to leave with out him.
Anne ran straight towards the sea and jumped in fully clothes.
Gilbert looked astonished, Anne really was different from the other girls!.
Gilbert followed Anne's lead, tied up the horse took of his shoes and chased her into the sea!
"Anne!, Anne!" Gilbert called
Anne stopped the sea water was up to her ankles she looked at home among the peaceful chaos.
Gilbert slowly walked towards her and smiled. Anne grasped his hand and dragged him further into the sea until the couple was submerged up to there waists
"Anne we're soaking, aren't u freezing" Gilbert said while rapping his arms around his own body.
"No not at all" Anne confirmed
Gilbert playfully splashed Anne and she did the same back.
"Do you want to eat now?"Gilbert asked
"Ok" Anne shrugged
They approached the shore when a wave swept Gilbert under, Anne didn't notice until she heard a scream from under the
Frothy waves.
"Gilbert!" Anne cried
Anne grabbed Gilbert's hand and pulled him towards her he spluttered out some water and gasped for air.
"You can't swim either?"Anne said a little to enthusiastically
"Umm...yea"Gilbert said obviously embarrassed
"That's ok I can't either thought Mathew did try and teach me last year!"Anne said reassuringly
Gilbert smiled she had lifted his spirits!
They sat down on some rocks and Gilbert Brought out a picnic basket.
"What's in there?" Anne wondered
"Well On the menu today is... some slightly off sandwiches some slightly beaten raspberries and the show stopper jam tarts!" Gilbert said with a roughish grin on his face
Anne swallowed a laugh and took a bite of her sandwich
"Delightful" Anne said with a disgusted look on her face
Gilbert took a bite and nearly chocked he nodded at Anne's comment and smiled
Once the pair had finished up with lunch they jumped onto the horse and trotted on home.
"Thank you for a wonderful date my lady" Gilbert beamed
"The pleasures all mine" Anne replied
