A few weeks had passed since the incident. Gilbert refused to talk to Anne or merely look at her. So she kept her head down and spoke only when spoken to this wasn't like her. Today was like any other day Gilbert seemed so close but yet so far away and Diana nattered on in her ear.
"Anne" Diana said rather loudly
"what is it?!" Anne replied back in an angry tone
"I was just going to ask you if you were okay you haven't been acting your self lately and I'm worried about you" Diana replied
"It's just... It's just GILBERT HATES ME!"
Every one in the class room turned around apart from Gilbert who continued to stare firmly at the board.
"Oh Anne I'm sure he doesn't hate you what happened anyway?" Diana said softly
"It doesn't matter" Anne said while quickly wiping a tear from under her eye
"Oh Anne.."
"It's fine...I'm fine can we please just not talk about it"
Diana nodded
A single tear fell down Anne's pink cheek she wiped it away but more flooded down her face .
Anne shot up "Can i.. can i be excused!"
"Yes... wait Anne are you ok.." before mrs Stacy could finished Anne rushed to the toilet covering her face with her hands.
How could I be so stupid. Now everyone thinks I'm pathetic, crying over a boy! a boy of all things!!! I want to explain to him but he just won't listen and I don't know how to make him.he'll never going to forgive me there's nothing I can do. Anne thought as she sobbed into her dress
"Anne are you in there?"
"Gilbert?"
