Mordred Imagine #1 Part 1 of 2

Imagine: You and Mordred met once when you were little and are reunited when he is older in Camelot during Arthur's rule.

My brother Merlin, Arthur and I were stuck in a trap and I whimpered as I felt the ropes digging into my skin painfully. Arthur grabbed my hand "We will be alright I promise" he kissed it and smiled, I nodded and let out a shaky breath I was thankful I had both Merlin and Arthur here. Merlin would always be there for me protecting me as much as he could with magic, Arthur he had strong feelings for me I could tell. He was always by my side and defending me against his father. Arthur would do anything for me and that's why my heart broke for him because I loved another...Mordred.

Mordred stared at me his vibrant blue eyes studied my every feature. He smiled and held out his hand I did too and he grinned "I'm Mordred" his voice spoke softly careful if anyone heard us. "I'm Y/n" he showed a toothy grin "That's a very pretty name I like it" I giggled "I like your name too Mordred" his name coming out of my mouth made his eyes sparkle. He heard shouting a man calling his name "I must go but will I see you again?" he asked me and I bit my lip "I do hope so Mordred I like you, your a good friend" and he grinned again "Goodbye, for now, Y/n" he smiled cheekily and rubbed his thumb and pointer finger against my cheek before running off.

We heard voices and Arthur threatened them and told them to back away and no-one would be harmed. A voice spoke out that I turned to the man who spoke his hair was black and lightly curled at the ends. His blue eyes reminded me of the little druid boy I met long ago but he couldn't be Mordred. My eyes followed the man's movements "Morgana will decide their fate" he told the other men and they nodded. They were brought to Morgana and she smirked evilly and shook her head "Dear Arthur, how foolish of you to land in my trap" she grinned and both Merlin and I shared a glare at her she gasped and put a hand to her heart. "My dear Y/n, you are more beautiful than the last time I saw you. It's such a shame how this has all turned out for you. I did wish better for you and not to for you to dread every moment of this terrible battle I fight with Arthur" she tutted and Arthur growled "Don't speak to her Morgana you know nothing" he warned and she smiled "Oh do you have feelings for her Arthur aww how wonderful." she clapped and giggled I noticed the man I saw earlier show a small glare towards Arthur his eyes trailed to me. He gave a smile and he kept his entire focus on me and me alone. Usually, I would feel uneasy about someone just staring at me but I felt calm. His stare was harsh or creepy I felt like those eyes belonged to Mordred. I heard his voice in my mind "Don't be afraid nothing will happen to you" he reassured me and I gave him a smile and nod and he smirked as he looked at Morgana. 

Morgana incarcerated Merlin and tried to kill Arthur I screamed "Arthur!" and the walls crumbled and rocks fell giving the man enough time to stab Morgana. Arthur gasped and Merlin ran over to both Arthur and I. He helped us both up and the other man to help us escape and we all escaped safely and the man sighed "I haven't gotten a chance to introduce myself. You may remember me, Arthur. You saved me when I was a little boy from execution. I have been waiting to see you again to pay the debt back to you" Arthur's eyes widened and so did Merlin's "Mordred?" I asked crying and he smiled "Hello my love" Mordred held his arms out and I rushed to his embrace and hugged him tightly and he pulled away and held my face in his hands "I told you nothing would happen to you" he said and I kissed him he kissed back immediately and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. Arthur and Merlin cleared their throats and we separated and I blushed and looked down shyly. Merlin stepped forward "You two seem quite close" he stated and Arthur's eyes were lightly watered "You love him don't you?" he asked and I nodded "I met Mordred long before he came to Camelot. We met not far from our village Merlin. He was travelling through with his father. I came across him near a river before he left again. We pretended to meet for the first time when he came to Camelot." I explained and Merlin nodded and put a hand on Arthur's shoulder. Arthur nodded "I give permission for this but Mordred if you hurt Y/n in any way I will not hesitate to execute you. I don't appreciate people hurting her and leaving her heartbroken." Arthur stated and Mordred nodded "I promise Arthur"

Mordred was knighted and become one of the Knights of the Round Table. Arthur smiled proudly and so did Mordred and he stood up the elegant red cape with the Pendragon symbol signifying he was now a Knight. I clapped and cried as Mordred winked at me and smirked I shot him a playful glare and he bit his lip as he looked me up and down. I glared and he laughed lightly. The ceremony quickly approached and everyone congratulated Mordred on becoming a knight. He kept throwing winks and smirks as he looked at me from afar, I walked up to Arthur "Thank you for making him a Knight. I'm sure he will never betray your trust Arthur" I hugged him tightly and he smiled at me "If it makes you happy then I'm happy" he smiled and kissed my head and I felt a tap on my shoulder "Can I steal her from you my lord?" Mordred asked and Arthur smiled and nodded "Of course she's all yours Sir Mordred" and Mordred grabbed my hand and we ran off down the hall to Mordred's personal chambers.
