Gwen has been the best friend you never thought you would ever have. She was there for you everyday, your troubles and your worries. She never let you down and was there to brighten your gloomy day. Merlin too his contagious laugh and smile never seemed to falter each passing day you seen him. You were the second maid for Lady Morgana, whom you had also grown close to like Gwen. The three of you were such great friends and you wanted nothing bad to ever tarnish it. And then there was the Prince of Camelot. Arthur Pendragon. Who would have knew, a servant girl would fall in love with the charming and dreamy prince. Not you, never in a million dreams would you have ever thought you would fall in love with Arthur. But you did, Gwen knew the moment you both laid eyes on one another, Morgana too. The girls always gushed about your little romantic feelings for Arthur, they could tell he felt the same and were hoping you both would one day be together. 

Merlin had come into Lady Morgana's quarters one day and asked if you could assist him with Arthur's training day. Morgana and Gwen let you go with Merlin and the two of you strolled down to the training grounds. Arthur was training new and old knights, his eyes gazed upon you as you wondered around with Merlin and sat down together watching him. Arthur blushed and smiled as he often looked at you and found you looking back at him. Merlin caught on and he smirked and nodded "Plan achieved" he thought and stood up and helped Arthur adjust his armor and Arthur made is way over to you. "Y/n" he smiled brightly as his voice sounded happy and somewhat nervous with your presence. "Arthur..sorry your highness" you corrected yourself quickly and he chuckled and sat down beside you. "No need, you can call me Arthur. I like it when you say my name. It sounds different than from everyone else. How is today, it's an absolutely beautiful day. No rain, no storm. Just sun and blue sky" he leaned back and looked to you "That's how my world is everyday when I am around you, when I see you, talk to you. Y/n I have wanted to tell you for a long time, but I have been afraid, afraid of my father's reaction. The people. Their opinions, their perspective. But I can't deny it any longer and I can't hide it from you or I anymore. Y/n I love you with all my heart, mind, body and soul. You make me the man I am and the King I want to be when I rule Camelot. I only wish that you will stay by my side each and everyday until I become King and I will make you my wife and my Queen. The Queen of Camelot, the most beautiful, kind, sometimes stubborn" he smiled and you giggled as he held your face his eyes lovingly staring into yours through his whole speech. "And the most wonderful and talented woman to ever rule in any kingdom. And I would want no-one else but you by my side for the rest my life. Promise me until the day comes you will be mine and I will be yours until we can be married and rule together" Arthur leaned his forehead agaisnt yours and you cried softly but not of sad tears but of happy tears. "Arthur I always thought I was imagining a life with you. Where we could be happy and in love and not worry about what others would say. I just never thought that you would ever return my feelings, I thought I was alone and I would never hear you say the words to me. Gwen, Morgana and Merlin thought so but not me. But now hearing you say you love me. Arthur you've have made me so happy, the happiest I could ever be. I love you so much Arthur Pendragon, and I promise you I will stay by your side until you become King. I will never leave you." you kissed him the kiss you dreamed of having for so long and now it was finally happening and you were overjoyed. Arthur smiled in the kiss and pulled away "My love you have made me the happiest Prince and the happiest man thankyou" he held your face in his hands and you both heard clapping, your gazes turned to Merlin leading the Knights in an applause and Gwen along with Morgana made an appearance also. You blushed and hid your face in Arthur's chest and he held you and looked at everyone "Okay back to training!" he shouted and then gave a small smile.

 He was happy now, you were happy now. That's all that mattered to you both.
