Merlin and Mordred. Two incredible young men, funny, charming and oh yes they have magic like you do. The only two people aside from Gwen who knew about your magic. You have known Mordred since you were children, you met Merlin when you helped Gwaine save Merlin and Arthur get out of a fight. So naturally you became close with Merlin and you had a small crush on him. But your real feelings for Mordred came back when you saw him as an adult. All matured and handsome as ever, you remember those blue eyes and that beautiful black hair. You loved him and everything thing about him. Like Merlin but you knew you had to choose one, you couldn't have both and you can't string one along. You sat on the grass and cradled your legs as you watched birds flutter around with butterflies and you sighed in content. You heard footsteps behind you and you twisted your body around and saw Merlin...and Mordred walking towards you. You smiled and faced back to your scenery in front of you. "I'm glad you both could come and see me. I appreciate it" you said softly and the two sat on either side of you. "You both now I like you, and I know you both return the feelings for me. And I know I have to choose one of you. And I hope the one that I don't choose I still want to remain close with you. So promise me, that nothing will ever change between us. We have to remain strong and stick together and never leave each other's side." You asked them and they both nodded "We will respect you not matter who you choose to be with. It's entirely your decision Y/n" Mordred stated and Merlin nodded in agreement "Take a deep breathe and just say what you want to say" Merlin said after Mordred and you took a deep breath.

If you chose Merlin

"Okay..." you took a breath and looked at Mordred "You will always be the little boy that I met and helped me through everything. And you will always have a special place in my heart and you know that. But Mordred, I have to go with my heart and I choose Merlin. I hope you understand" you hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek letting your lips linger and he smiled "Y/n, my dear going with your heart is the best decision for you. Not for me or anyone else. I respect your decision" he says and stood up and walked away leaving you and Merlin. "I honestly thought you were not going to pick me" he said with a sigh of relief. "Come here you idiot" you teased and kissed his lips lightly. And you both ran through the grass chasing one another.

If you chose Mordred

"Well...I am going to choose...Mordred" you say and look to Mordred he smiled it was like the Cheshire Cat. You turned to Merlin and sighed "Merlin you are amazing but I can't imagine life without you. But I want you to always be my best friend and I will always love you never forget that." you hug him and he nods "I am happy for you both. Really I am and I wish you all wellbeing and love for you both. I'll um leave you two, anyway that royal prat King called Arthur will have my head again for the fifth time today" Merlin sighed with a grin and he ran off back to the castle. Mordred wrapped his arms around your head waist and pulled you into his lap. "I love you Y/n. My beautiful Y/n" he whispered and you giggled "I love you too my Mordred" you both kissed and turned around your back against Mordred's chest as you breathed in the warm air and talked about sweet nothings and your future.
