"Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug exclaimed as she threw her lucky charm item into the air and magic ladybugs began to swirl around, repairing the city to its normal state.

Ladybug turned to face her partner, holding out her fist so that they could do their usual celebratory fist bump. He began to hold up his too when, all of a sudden, he felt immense pain swell in his abdomen, causing him to double over as the pain grew greater.

He clutched at the source of pain, gritting his teeth so that he wouldn't let out a scream or a whimper.

"Chat Noir! Ladybug!" Multiple voices called out at the same time. Reporters.

Ladybug wrapped her arm around Chat Noir's waist and used her yo-yo to swing them away from the nosy reporters before they could find out what was wrong.

"Why didn't you tell me you were hurt?" She questioned, her eyes welling up with tears at the sight of her beloved partner in pain. She grabbed him by the shoulders, forcing him to look her in the eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She repeated, ignoring the beeping of their miraculous. All she cared about was him in this moment.

"Because it doesn't matter," He spat out, venom laced in his voice. "I don't matter!"

She gasped, anger building up inside of her to the point where she was like a dam ready to burst.

"Of course you matter, you idiot! I can't do this without you!" She shouted, letting out all of her frustrations. "You're essential to this team and I'm not letting you get away with being hurt!"

She took a moment to catch her breath as she took in his shocked expression. Of course he matters to her, he's her partner and her friend.

"I-I." He stuttered, lost for words. "Thank you." He finally smiled, wincing after a moment due to the throbbing pain.

"Let's get you healed, kitty."
