"Oh look, it's none other than Lila the liar!" A student rudely called out, laughing along with the rest of their friends as said girl walked past them.

Lila clutched her folder closer to her chest, biting her lip in order to not let her tears flow. She couldn't break down in front of everyone like this, she had to keep up her bold and confident image.

It wasn't like it was the first time that she'd heard someone make a comment like that about her though. She was used to being blamed for everything that went wrong and many people had started to call her out for her lies every time one slipped out.

She couldn't help it though! Lila had tried to stop lying but it had become a habit at this point, a hard one to break too. Every time she though she was improving and that people were beginning to actually liker her, yet another lie would slip out and she'd be back to square one.

All of a sudden, Lila hit something (or rather, someone) and fell to the ground, scuffing her knees a little on the hard concrete. She could already hear the people around her snickering at her misfortune.

"Ugh, could you watch where you're going next time?" A familiar voice asked and Lila looked up to see Chloe Bourgeois towering above her. The blonde girl looked around and, once she made sure that nobody was looking, offered out her hand to Lila.

Lila was shocked by that of course. Why would Chloe of all people help her up? She took the hand anyway and was pulled to her feet, the folder in her arms slipping out of her hands.

"Thank you." Lila thanked, tightening her grip on the folder, as she started to walk away.

"Wait!" Chloe called out and Lila turned around to look her in the face. "I - erm. I just wanted you to know that you're not alone and that I'm always here if you need me." The usually arrogant girl informed, turning her head away so that she couldn't meet Lila's gaze.

It was only a few days later when Lila took her up on that offer and went to talk to Chloe after class.

"Chloe." She greeted.

"Lila."

Chloe looked around before grabbing Lila by the arm and pulling her around a corner so that they were out of sight.

"I know what you're planning to do, Lila. I heard your little pep talk to yourself in the bathroom earlier," Chloe informed her. "It looks like we both have the same target then."

Busted. Lila had though that she'd heard someone open the door to the girl's bathroom that morning but she'd shrugged it off and blamed it on paranoia.

Wait a second, same target? But that could only mean...

"You actually like Adrien?" Lila gasped. "I thought it was all an act!"

"Excuse you, I'm not the type of person to lie unlike you." Chloe shot back, crossing her arms in frustration.

Lila frowned at that, biting her lip to hold back the iminent tears from cascading down her cheeks. She had to remain strong and not let her weak side be shown to the world.

"Sorry." Chloe apologised once she saw Lila's saddening expression.

"Are my ears playing tricks on me or did I just hear the word sorry come out of Chloe Bourgeois' mouth?" A teasing voice asked. Chloe growled, ready to verbally attack the person, but she calmed down when she turned around to see that it was only Adrien.

"Adrikins!" Her shrill voice shouted as she leapt onto him, latching her arms around his neck as she kissed him on the cheek. Adrien grimaced, pushing her off so that she wasn't right in his face.

"Hey Chloe." He replied, noticing Lila stood behind her.

Chloe grabbed his face, moving it so that he was gazing at her instead. This was her chance to prove that she actually did love Adrien and she was going to take it.

"Adrikins, I need to tell you something important." She informed him, her usual demeanor starting to melt away as her voice took a more sincere tone.

"Go on."

She took a deep breath, staring into his iridescent eyes. "I'm in love with you, Adrien." She admitted, a sincere tone laced in her voice. She wanted him to that she was really telling the truth and that her displays of affection weren't all for show.

"I'm sorry, Chloe, but I don't feel the same way." He replied as he pushed her away, tears already beginning to form in the blonde girl's eyes. She ran away from him, the tears now cascading down her cheeks like a waterfall.

"I just wanted you to know that I feel the same way she does," Lila voiced, smiling at him. "I know you probably don't feel the same way though."

He nodded, confirming her suspicion. She waved at him, running off to catch up with Chloe a moment later.

Lila reached the locker room where she found Chloe hidden away, sobbing into her arms. Lila wrapped an arm around the heartbroken girl in a hopes to comfort her, neither of them noticing the purple butterfly fluttering towards them.
