Me and my friends walk back to the dorms, ignoring what happened for now and joking around, but even through all the laughing, a heavy sorrow hung over us like a thick cloud of dust.
"We should go somewhere, " Kaminari suggests, "Do something. Go to the movies, hang out at the park, Eat some good food. We're teenagers, we should be able to act like it!"
We all agree, the mood getting lighter as we plan what to do tomorrow to get some well needed stress relief.
The next day, Saturday
We all chatter as we walk down the streets, drinks in hand the heat beating down on us like lasers, our drinks were slushies, but they melted quickly from the wrath of the sun. We all ignore the people talking about us and enjoy our day, almost forgetting about the conversation I promised to have with them tomorrow.
We waltz around the city like we'll be young forever, cracking jokes and doing dumb stuff, like teenagers, because that is who we are, teenagers.
Even Todoroki and Bakugou came along, laughing along with everyone else, its really weird hearing both of them laugh. I wish I could see them smile.
The day passes in seconds and its nighttime before we know it, we head back to the dorms and head to our rooms to go to bed and prepare for tomorrow.
I get ready to go to bed, brush my teeth, my hair , put on my pajamas, and lay down, but as they hours tick by I know that I won't be getting any sleep tonight. The conversation looming closer with every second that passed.
Finally I hear the buzz of my alarm clock and get out of bed, I put on some clothes and make my way downstairs the entire dormitory silent and peaceful, not a single other person is awake. The silence slowly becoming more and more eery as the hours tick on, not another person waking up and not a single sound to be heard. I make my way upstairs, the smell of rot getting stronger as I get closer to my friends. I open up the first bedroom door that I get to, the pungent smell of death washing over me and making me gag. I go from room to room. The same thing happening.
Just
Give
Up
Snapping awake, I stagger to the bathroom and throw up, my throat burning and my stomach feeling like its doing somersaults. I make my way downstairs again, this time everyone else is already awake, they all wish me a good morning and beckon me over.
I take a deep breathe, a feeling of dizziness washing over me as I practically collapse onto a seat.
"We need to talk about this," I hear someone say , not entirely sure who it was.
"Okay," I sigh, giving up on hiding it.
"Who- What is that thing?"
"I'm not entirely sure, It must be some sort of monster."
"What does IT want?"
"Well, IT seems to want to give me back my eyesight, but it wants me to fight it to get it back."
"Okay, Um... How long has this been going on?"
"Since the day I woke up."
"Its been two months since that happened, we can help you, you know"
"I just," I stutter, my words stumbling as I choke back tears, "I just didn't... want to bring- to bring you guys into this. I'm scared it- it might kill you."
"It won't hurt us Midoriya," Uraraka promises, "It can't be that strong right?"
"Yeah," I mutter, "It can't be that strong,"
We all sit there, Our words sinking in, promising ourselves that we didn't speak live.
It's not like its a god. Right?
We sit there, minutes passing, then hours. We all slowly leave, going off to do our own thing. Eventually everyone leaves and I sit there alone, my eyes getting heavier and heavier as exhaustion floods over me.
I'm about to fall asleep when I feel someone sit next to me, they wrap their arms around me and I feel their tears on my shoulder and we sit there not trying to hide our sadness and just crying together, not saying a word.
