I wake up to feel a cold wind brush against my face, thick and muggy like fog. The grass brushes against my legs, they feel like straw, scraping and make soft scratching sounds as the wind blows by. I don't feel the sun on my face any more, just the cold breeze, not quite unbearable, but a bother none the less. I shiver a tad, my pajamas not enough to make me warm.

A bit chilly it seems.

The sly voice echoes throughout the deserted plane, it seems less intimidating, it doesn't boom across the area like it did when we first met. Was that a bit of fear I heard.

What was that little charade you played in class early today.

The thing doesn't responds. Not even a peep comes from it's mouth. It just stands there. Quietly.

I thought you didn't want to be known. I THOUGHT you didn't want anyone to know about you.

You think I didn't want to be know. Or was it really just you that didn't want to tell anyone. Didn't want your family to worry. Wanted to figure it all out on your own.

I start walking towards it. Increasing in speed until I'm full sprinting, I whip out my leg and feel it hit something. Something soft, like fresh play-dough, untouched by little kids.

I recoil in disgust, with drawing my leg and landing hard on the ground, pain shooting through my legs.

A bit... Disturbed, Are you?

W-wha... What are...

You'll learn later. Or at least you should hope you do.

I feel a whip of cold, frigid wind. The chilly air becoming unbearable. A hand grabs my neck and I feel that familiar breath in my face again. Smelling even more of rot then before. I grab at the hand trying to peel in off. My breathe shorting out. I peel the fingers off, they feel thin like sticks, and aren't soft like, what I had come in contact with early, they feeling crumbly and dry.

The thing gasps in pain and draws back. I leap up as fast as I can and lunge at the thing. Arms out stretched, just barely grazing it as it leaps away, the wind stinging my face as I flip through the air and land hard on my arms, pain exploding through them like fire. I scream and flip up as fast as I can, so I don't get caught by the thing.

I feel wind whip around and a punch up my gut. I choke and fall,an ache graveling through me like my stomach just implode. I roll over and try to crawl away. Clenching my stomach in pain. I feel a rush of adrenaline in my legs and leap away, landing hard on the ground and stumbling.

Just give up.

Hot tears stream down my face. Stinging against my cold, dry skin like salt on a wound.

N... NO!

I shout, my voice cracking and dry. Why did I get so exhausted so quickly. Normally I can fight like this for hours. Its only feels like its been about thirty minutes. One arm collapses underneath me, the pain to intolerable for it to go any longer.

With my last energy I leap at the thing, my legs powering up and firing me forwards. I spin around and land a weak kick on it. The soft flesh squishing against my leg and stinging it like acid. I drop backward, the fall only adding to my agony as my back cracks against the cold, hard ground. The grass not there to soften my fall, at least a bit. The field seems to have somehow died in the short time I have been here. I feel the dry hands on my arms.

Your done.

The hot breathe inconsistently wheezes on my face.

I snap awake again. The silence of my room filling my ears and the hot breathe gone. My whole body aches in pain as I sit up in my bed, trying to regulate my breathing. I step out of my bed, my body slowly warming me up as I slide into my slippers and walk quietly to the door.

"Time"

"3:24"

I slowly make my way to the kitchen and fix myself a glass of water. The sounds of running water breaking the chilling silence throughout the house. I take a sip and feel the water slipping down my dry throat, making my chest feel cold and refreshed.

I sit down and think about the dream. They had to be real. Now that other people had seen it I know for a fact that its real. What it said echoes through my head, filling my thoughts.

Just Give Up.
