"Deku!" a ruff voice yells as I hear a smack and sharp pain on my face.Must be Bakugo. The pain spreads spreads to the rest of my face.

I scream and open my eyes. Nothing, just white. Why is there just white?

Oh yeah. I forgot.

I slight gasp comes from him. Why would he gasp? Bakugo hates me.

"He's awake!"

Screams of excitement and joy come from the other room as I here voices come from the other room. The door slams open and I flinch. Foot step come from the other side of the room as my friends flood into the room.

"Bakugo," a stern voice, Iida "It was not necessary to slap Midoriya"

"Well he wouldn't wake up," Bakugou barks back "What was I suppose to do"

"Wait for him to wake up naturally," Iida responds in a more annoyed tone

"Well it woke him up didn't it!" Bakugo hisses

"Guys," a soft, gentle voice, a voice that sounds light as if it were floating "It... It doesn't matter. All that matters is that Deku is awake"

Four light fingers touch my hand.

"Who all is here," my scratchy voice leaks out just barely audible among the fighting.

"What," a monotone voice utters above the quarreling

Everyone went silent. The bickering stopping immediately.

"Wh... Who all is here, "my weak voice, crippled and dry

"Um, let me see" the monotone voice mumbles , his voice seems cold and sad, "Bakugo, Iida, Uraraka, Tokoyami, Kirishima, and me, Todoroki."

"A select few people were allowed in after you had a panic attack," Iida informs me "They thought that maybe have some friends in the room would calm you down."

A pile of newspapers landed on my lap with a smack as one fell on the floor.

"You've been all over the news," Bakugo grumbles and looks at the door, "Everyone wants to know about the Blinded Semi-Pro"

"Glad their interested," I mumble as I stare at my scarred hands, I wasn't at all glad. Why do people find others misfortune so fascinating?

Everyone is silent for a few minutes as a wave of sorrow washes over the room. I guess with my eyes like this I'll probably never be able to be a hero. I'll just have to be a normal person. Like when I was quirkless.

Guess I'll have to find a successor early then expected.

The door opens with a creak and the clack of heels echoes across the room. I hear the door close again.

"Kids you need to go back to class," A serious female voice tells my friends

"Bu-" two people refute

"No buts," she exclaims "Leave"

The door creaks open again and they all shuffle out, not another word coming from their mouths. The door closes and we sit in silence for a few minutes as the sounds of papers flipping and pencil writing filled the room.

"You can call me Mrs.Tanaka," the woman informs me, "So as you probably already know you are permanently blinded. Your face was damaged by a blast from an unknown villain in the gang that your classmates were fighting several weeks before after you were attack while on a field trip. With current technology it is highly unlikely that you will ever gain back your sight. You had a panic attack about and a half of an hour ago where you were reported to scream 'breath', 'fast man', 'game over', and 'four hands' over and over for approximately seven minutes until saying 'he's gone' once and laying back down, a group of your classmates was sent about halfway through the attack and you eventually calmed down. Now would you mind me asking. What happened when you were asleep?"

"I..." I had a feeling, a feeling that I couldn't tell anyone what happened to me in that dream. Or was it a dream. Whatever it was. I couldn't tell anyone what happened, "I don't know."

A scribbling and the flip of paper as if to go to the next page. How many pages were there?

"Okay"

The seat pushes across the floor and I feel a puncture in my arm.

"You need you rest"

The clack of heels on the floor.

The creak of the door opening for the last time that day.

I don't stay awake long enough to hear the door close.
