It was Saturday, a day for shopping in New York.

- Lydia -

- Breakfast -

It's only 9am but breakfast in the hotel started an hour ago and ends in an hour and a half, I feel sorry for those who sleep in.

I wipe my eyes and step out of the bed, still in my pyjamas from the night before.

"Ouch!" I was on my way to the bathroom when I stepped on a plug, I picked the plug up which was attached to my hair straightener and walked over to the counter to leave it there.

I continued to my journey to the bathroom hoping I was loud enough so the girls could wake up but there had been no movements.

Am i supposed to wake them up?

After preparing myself for the day I walk out of the bathroom only to find an empty room.

I check the alarm clock, 9.30am.

I grab my phone then walk downstairs hoping to find them at the breakfast buffet.

"Good morning, what is your room number?" The lady at the entrance asks me.

"Uhm... 215." She looks up at me then guides me to a table for two, I'm by myself.

I gaze the room hoping to find Malia or Kira but I can't see them.

"Excuse me." I say as I walk back towards the woman, "I don't suppose you have seen two women from 215 in here?"

The woman sighed then pointed near the back of the room.

"Thank you." I turn back and walk over to the girls, is it normal to feel like an outsider so much.

"Uhm... This is a table for two." I say as I look down at them.

They seemed confused.

"I know." Malia said cheerfully, is there something mentally wrong with her?

"Well.. Why didn't you get three?" Lydia asks curiously, maybe the woman thought there was only two guests from 215.

After a moments silence I decided it wasn't worth an arguement, there was a long day ahead.

I walked to the food court then sat at the table the woman escorted me to.

I ate my Cornflakes in silence, if only Stiles was here.

I walked to my room without looking back, I knew they were most likely eating and laughing and doing everything they could to make me feel like an intruder on the weekend I planned.

I lay on my bed with my phone in my hands, I dial Stiles phone number then I let out a sigh before I ring, maybe he can cheer me up.

"Hey, how are you? I didn't expect you to call."

"Sorry is this a bad time?"

I hope I didn't disturb him, he's probably buried deep in work. He still has other cases, the stress is probably unbearable. I should be there, I should be there to help him out.

"No, no not at all. Is everything okay?"

"Stiles... I just, I don't know."

"What is it?"

"I feel like I should just come home, I feel like I'm not wanted here and maybe I feel that way because it's true. I expected this weekend to be fun but I guess if hasn't turned out as planned."

"Things rarely ever turn out as planned but think of it as this, you're shopping in New York with a lot of money for your new job in a fashion magazine. How incredible does that sound? It's completely not how I expected this year to go but sometimes when things don't go the way we expect them, it's not always a bad thing."

"Thank you, Stiles."

"For what?"

"Just for everything."

"Don't be silly!"

"What are you doing today?" I asked curiously.

"I'm going to visit my Fathers grave I haven't gone since....."

My mind filled with the memories of Allison by her grave, the mind can do many things but I still can't figure out how I could feel her. Surely my imagination draws a line between you and what you're imagining.

"I know, can you call me later?"

The door swung open and Malia and Kira came in laughing, they could have knocked.

"Well I gotta go, I love you." I hung up the phone and laid it on my bed as I sat forward.

"Are you ready to shop?" I nodded my head in response to Kira's question.

"I just need to grab my purse."

When I looked up I seen their backs to me and then the door closed.

"I guess they didn't have patience to wait, once again." I said under my breath.

Shoot, she can hear me. Malia has probably heard my every complaint.

After finding my purse wedged between clothes and shoes in my small suitcase, I walked towards the door.

Let's hope today goes well.
