Yagari

      I giggled running up to my big brother Ichiru. He smiled weakly at me opening his arms so I could hug him.

    "Big brother Ichiru what are you doing?" I questioned looking up at my big brother. Kissing my forehead he sighed.

     "Oh nothing just taking a walk since I'm feeling all better. What are you doing sweet sister?" He answered cheerfully.

     "Well. I just really wanted someone to play with." I let out softly looking down at my shoes.

     "Ichiru it's time we go." Big brother Zero interrupted, "we have training."

      "Very well brother." He responded looking Zero in the eye he seemed kind of annoyed with big brothers sudden appearance," sweet sister we can play once we get home."

     "Oh okay big brother Ichiru. I hope your study aren't to hard for you both." I smiled sadly knowing they'd be leaving for awhile. Kissing ichiru on the cheek and giving Zero a hug there instructor appeared before us.

     "Ah young Miss.kiryu nice seeing you again now boys let's go." Mr.Yagri sad with a smile before my brothers left.

    I awoke shaking the memories from me as if they left a sour taste in my mouth. Big brother Ichiru wants nothing to do with me. I smiled leaving my dorm room skipping off to class. Hopefully today would go better then the past few. I'm not sure I could handle any more. Countless peoples gazes fell on to me as I entered the class. I smiled waving at everyone trying to feel a little less awkward.

     "Good morning." I spoke smiling at everyone. I could hear gasps from my sudden speech knowing I never bothered before. At least not towards them. Taking a new seat by some boy with glasses I giggled. I could hear big brother growl from my sudden actions.

     "Your even more beautiful then my dear Ruka." He spoke softly more to himself then to me.

     "Oh my Ruka. Of course I am she could never compare to someone of my stature the peasant." I giggled smiled at the boy as his face flushed red.

     "I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you." He stammered.

     "No not at all I'm far from upset. Thank you for the compliment though it means a lot." I cooed touching his cheek before turning back to the teacher as class began. Through out class there were only three people who dared to keep looking at me. Yuki looked at me with worry since I havent even spoken to her in what felt like years. While the boy next to me gaze would fall to my face ever so often. While the last person looked at me with sorrow and yet also disgust. I sighed how could big brother really abandon me?

     Once class was dismissed for lunch I found myself wondering around the courtyard aimlessly. I giggled to myself humming as if no one else existed. I couldn't smell Zero and Yuki oddly enough maybe they're patrolling. I sighed finally taking a seat looking over the many people surrounding me. I headed off to head masters house. Reaching the manor I smiled remembering when we first arrived.

It was later in the day and the air was crisp. Spring had just begun fathers dreams were coming true his desire to bring Vampires and humans together in Hope's of peace. Hes truly a brilliant man. I giggled at big brother from his stoic expression.

     "Big brother." I spoke drawing his attention,"will you help me decorate me room in here? It's going to be my most favorite place here."

     "Of course I will darling sister. Anything to see you smile. Only why is this going to be your most favorite?" He questioned hugging me.

     "Well because if anything ever happens I will always have this place to come back to as my own." I answered smiling brightly.

     "Okay well how about lunch and we'll get started." He continued softly.

     Snapping out of my trip down memory lane I made my way to my room. I heard movement from the other side of the door. Quietly I opened the door seeing who dare ever my room. A head of white hair was revealed only this boy wore a mask. I gasped seeing him for a second time.

     "Big brother Ichiru." I choked covering my mouth as if he'd disappear in the blink of an eye. He let out a low sigh.

     "Never did I want to leave my sweet baby sister." He finally spoke breaking the silence as he walked up to me giving me a hug. I stood paralyzed from shock. His actions made no sense to me his warm embrace made me feel at ease. Just like when we were young.

    
     "But, but why did you go?" I asked feeling tears try to break through as I fought to hold them back. Ichiru held me tighter.

     "Baby sister you do not belong in a family as vile as that. My only regret is not being able to take you with me." He answered kissing the top of my head, "now I must go. Please baby sister smile. Smile so I know you're okay." He continued before finally leaving me to be alone. I was frozen in place big brother ichiru was really here.

     Laying down on the bed I smiled knowing he really did care about me. Ichiru still loves me. Getting lost in my thoughts I was blind to the fact the sun had already began to set. I laugh seeing how bad I'd lost track of time.  Straightening out my clothes I walked down stairs to see father smiling at my sudden appearance ignoring the man before him.

     "Are you even listening!?" The man with dark hair yelled at father making me laugh. Soon his attention to turned toward me.

     "Oh um hi father oh wait Mr.Yagari nice to see you again." I smiled seeing big brother old teacher.

     "Hello young Kiryu. I see your true self has finally awoken." I smiled down at me.

     "Wait you knew?" I asked more shocked then anything.

     "Only one you're big brother gave me you to keep safe explaining you were now human. I kept that secret even from your parents." He answered with a smiled oddly enough.

     "Thank you so much." I squealed hugging the man in front of me. So. A flash sent off father had preserved the very moment of sweetness from me. Soon a scream could be heard from outside causing Yagari to rush after the person. Curious I followed closely behind while father looked sad as he followed suit. Only I was not ready for what would be before us. Big brother bowed down to Yukis neck fangs ready to pierce through her seemingly flawless skin.

     "Yuki!" I yelled feeling the upmost remorse for the girl before me. Big brother stiffened from my voice. Only as I rushed over to them Yagari fired from his gun making father tackle him. How could big brother fall so low.
