Matthew literally threw multiple board games at us as if we were target and the board games were his arrows. Some boxes opened up and the pieces to the games and fell to the floor, probably never seeing the sunlight again.

"M-Matt, you have a lot of games." Lindsay said, brushing off a game piece that landed on her lap.

Matt came back with a book. No, it wasn't like a reading book, it was like a small composition notebook.

"What's in there?" Tord asked, lifting an eyebrow. "It's my book of games! Like- Tickles or Death™️(ey, UnpleasantOverbite ), Rould you Wather and Have Never I ever!"

The room went silent as everyone had no idea what the actual fuck Matt said.

"D-Do you mean Truth or Dare,  Would You Rather and Never Have I ever..?" Lindsay corrected. Matt looked away then back at us, confused. "Yeah, that's what I just said..."

I sighed and sat on the ground. "So, what are we playing?"

"I figured we would play a game in Norwegian—" Tord perked. "No, because then if it's your alien language game, none of us will win because you're the only one who knows your alien language!" Matt replied, flipping through the pages of his notebook.

"My language isn't 'alien language', it's an actual language, Matt."

Matt stopped at a page in is notebook and sat down vertical from me. "Ok! So, there's this game called Questions and Answers! Let's play!"

Lindsay and Tord agreed, having never played the conversation game and Edd took a little hesitation because agreeing as well. Of course, everyone— Actually, scratch that. Only Tord, Lindsay and Matt turned to me looking for my opinion.

Edd completely ignored me. It was normal. I hated him and he hated me. That's the way life goes. You can't always expect someone to be with you forever.

That's not possible.

"Thomas?" a voice cut through my thoughts and back to reality. "Yeah?" I asked, looking at up. I saw Edd immediately and a look of worry and anger on his face. It was small compared to the extreme dullness he expressed ever since Edd and I called it quits on our friendship.

"Pay attention. It's annoying when you don't listen." Edd said, acting like a teacher who attempted to wake up a sleeping kid for half an hour. "I can do whatever I want," I muttered, turning back at Matt, only to see him  with his creepy-ass smile on his face.

I turned my head away as quickly as possible.

"Ok! So, one person asks another person a question and they have to answer truthfully and then the person that got the question asked someone else a question and yadda yadda— you get the idea!"

Everyone nodded and participated in Matt's Q&A.

Matt looked up at Lindsay and asked, "Do you fancy anyone?" Lindsay blushed but shook her head.

"Aw c'mon!" Matt whined, pouting. Lindsay shook her head again, a smile on her face. "No, it's temporary anyways," she said, her smile turning into a slight frown.

I instantly thought Lindsay liked Tord. Or Matt. I couldn't choose between Tord or Matt because honestly I think Matt's stupid enough to date her and Tord just wants to look cool.

Lindsay turned to Edd, thinking of a hard question he couldn't answer. "Edd, are you.. dating anyone?" Edd gave a cheeky smile and almost looked at Matt, who had a mischievous grin on his face. "Duh!" Lindsay's face lit up. "Whoever it is, I hope you're relationship is stable!"

Damn, she's annoying, I thought, instantly regretting coming here. "My turn?" Edd asked, "Ok, Tord—"

(it's raining and there's a flash flood at 2?? my favorite sibling leaves school at 2. i hate the weather)(yeet, my fav sib is okay :"))

Of course, I thought.

Edd wouldn't choose me. No one would. And that's how it went for the rest of the day. Just them asking questions back and fourth, not ever including me.

"Tim, do you like someone?" I heard a voice said which snapped me out of my thoughts. "Er- what?"

Matt leaned forward to which I leaned back.  "Do you like someone??"

Do I like someone? Maybe.

Do I like something? Maybe.

I gave a sly smile and responded with yes. Matt squealed and I swore I saw Tord's cheeks burn red. "Okay, you ask someone!" Matt exclaimed, eager to ask me who I liked specifically. And that's when I decided to risk it.

"Edd," I said, craning my head to look at the mess that stood next to Tord. His brown eyes looked at me with discomfort and a little of something else that seemed to be.. hope? Eh, whatever. "Edd, what are your thoughts on Lindsay?" I asked.

He looked at Lindsay then at Tord. "Uh, she's nice."

"Thats it?" Lindsay said, her eyes narrowing.

"You're... pretty?"

Lindsay wasn't taking it. Edd hesitated too much. She's not so stupid after all. "Do you not like me? Like, as friends?" Lindsay asked, raising her voice. "N-No, it's not that—"

"It seems like it!" Lindsay stood up, crossing her arms. "Seriously?? If you didn't like me, you could've just told me!" Lindsay looked at Matt, who was too focused on his nails and looked up at Lindsay and instantly smiled.

"Ugh! You bastard!" She screeched and fled to Matt's bathroom, slamming the door as hard as possible. Edd glared at me. "What the hell (richard) Tom?!"

"What? I just asked a question."

"You— you know I hate her!"

And at that moment, Edd knew.

He fucked up.
