Ann glared at the mugger.

"Bad move, there bud," she hissed. The gunshot wound was making her a little woozy but she didn't have time to focus on that.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three more shot sounded, two of which hit the alley walls. The third hit Ann in the chest.

"Ann! Eat web!" Peter swung in, webs blazing. She grinned at her cousin, who had the mugger tied up within a matter of seconds.

"Careful is for chumps." The darkness that had been threating her took over.

He glared at the blond staring at him.

"What happened?" He said as calmly as possible. The stranger replied as he fished in his pack for something.

"A dude mugged me and she took my shot. And another one." He tossed Peter a first-aid kit.

"Toss the gauze back when you're done. A bullet that bounced off the wall grazed my ankle. My big brother is a medic, I'm going to call him."

"No! I mean..." The kid growled at him.

"It's obvious she needs help, and my family knows how to keep a lid on this type stuff." His gaze softened.

"Trust me." Peter sighed and nodded.

"The masks stay on, got it? We wear them for a reason."

"I get that, okay. I wouldn't do anything to hurt her. She saved my life. My name's Alan, by the way."
