"Alan, wake up!" Sam screamed

Alan sat up, cover in sand. Sam was standing in front of him, wearing her gi and siren armor.

"We just got a message from Scott. He and Jeff are trapped in a cave. Its all hands on deck." Sam tugged at the woven leather vest to pull it lower down as she talked.

"But you said you weren't recovered from giving birth to the quads yet," Alan scrambled to his feet.

"Part of being a hero is putting others first." Sam said, twisting her hair into a knot and pinning it in place with a pair of black and green chopsticks.

"What does Virgil say about this crazy plan?"

"Well, for one I don't like you yelling at my wife. Secondly, I couldn't stop her if I wanted too. Thirdly, we don't have any other way to help Scott and Jeff," Virgil said putting his hands on his hips as he came up behind Sam. Alan sighed.

"That brother of ours, eh? C'mon Sam, we have to get the underwater pod mods ready." The blond knelt down, pecked Ann on the cheek, and stood back up.

"Alright, let's go." The three began to walk toward the house. Suddenly, Virgil realized something.

"That was Ann-Marie Parker, wasn't it?"

"Got a problem with that?" The pilot smirked.

"Let it be known that I shipped it first. Race you back to the house?" Alan looked at his brother and smiled.

"One two three go!" The two boys began to sprint as Sam watched and laughed.

Ann stirred and sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Sam turned and smiled warmly.

"We're going out on a rescue mission. You want to come along?" she asked. Ann looked at her, puzzled.

"I didn't think you went on rescues." The ninja laughed.

"I'm bored and Gordon stole my children. You coming or not?" Ann grinned.

"Gimme a sec to get up."

"There's the cave!" Alan called. "Get ready Sam, we're going to need you to move the rocks."

"Really, I thought you were going to move them yourself," Sam replied sarcastically. She tapped the belt buckle, activating the belts power to let her breath underwater.  Alan stepped through the door, already assembling the pod on his wrist controller. Two minutes later, the pod was assembled and the pair was ready for deployment.

"Dropping pod bay and opening doors."

"Fab." The two slide out of the pod bay and begin to dive.

"Hey Sam, why don't you ever wear the gear Brains made you?" Alan asked.

Sam stopped for a bit and smiled.

"Its not that I don't like it. Its just...."

"Just what?"

"Its nothing. Come on, Scott and Jeff need us," Sam said and swam deeper.

It wasn't nothing. In fact, it was why Sam now slept in the nursey with the quads. She felt torn between two worlds. Earth, where her family and the love of her life were and Ninjago, the place that needed her more every day.

She had been getting calls from Ember, begging her for her help, the siren kingdom was at war, Sensei Wu's health was weakening by the day, and her parents' worlds were beginning to collide, slowly tearing each other to peices. Alan looked at her through the window of the pod and grinned.

"You good?"

"I'm good. Let's do this."
