I had paced myself to our dorm room, it was our first day on patrol, and I had wanted to know how it went for her. I can hear the men mumbling about me, how good I look in my uniform, and how lucky Fushimi is to have me as his partner. Even when Fushimi gravels at the thought of us working together.
Fushimi.
I couldn't take my mind off the thought of him getting so worked up over HOMRA. He gripped my chin a bit too hard, and as much as I wanted to drive my head into his and watch him cower over his broken nose, I couldn't. He was my Senpai. I had to respect him, even if he doesn't respect me at all.
Inari was standing in the bathroom in her training shorts and her T-shirt hanging off her shoulder. She saw me and huffed. "Your boyfriend's been looking for you."
"He's not my boyfriend, " I snapped. Inari smirked, before pulling my hair from my ponytail. "He's my partner."
"He acted like he was your boyfriend."
"While I'm not here, maybe."
She nods at me, before shifting out of the way and going to take a shower. My body felt so good in the water. I lathered as much soap as I could and scrubbed away at my body. I even washed my hair. My eyes rolled back and my head rolled too. Letting the water wash the conditioner out of my hair. The red looked darker than normal, I couldn't help thinking about Mikoto. I wonder if he's alright, I may need to see him and bring him food.
After I had gotten dressed in my shorts and tank top, Inari helped me pack my brother his lunch. He wasn't eating enough vegetables, and judging from the food Scepter 4 gives their prisoners, I'd say, he needs more protein too.
"Here," I turned and saw Inari pack a small bag of cookies into the box. I smiled as she grabbed a bottle of water and stuffed it into her bag. "Should I bring your letters?"
I shook my head. I didn't want him to feel that bad for not seeing me. I know he's been busy, but I don't think he needs me to shove all of those years down his neck. I'm not even sure if he's even got his copies. "I just want to see him."
We took off down the hall and down the stairs, I looked out into the lobby and saw Fushimi and everyone else having away at their computers. The only reason we weren't down there was because we weren't used to the system they were using. There was still more training to do.
Not once seeing me, he didn't even look up. I quickly ran farther down, jumping from one set to another. I had spaced out my feet, just so I didn't make any noise as I landed. Inari was better at it, parkour throughout the island was her thing. I still needed practice. We had to take out some officers, but it wasn't that bad. Just a pinch at their nerves. We hid the moment we've seen Munakata standing by the prison door. Talking to my brother.
He glanced towards our direction, but we hid behind a door. Holding our breath, and I gripped Inari's hand. "hold on tight to me." She whispers. She had wiggled her nose and blinked her eyes twice. We left our hiding spot and got closer. Hoping to make my way to Nii-san's cell. Reisi was now in the cell with Mikoto, he had driven my brother's head against the wall in hopes to awaken him. My blood was boiling, but then it chilled and froze to ice, the moment I had seen Reisi tilt his head up. Taking in breath.
"Do you think we have a visitor?" Mikoto asked. Reisi was by the door, looking in both directions. He was checking for us.
"No." Reisi finally said, but he still stood near the door. I couldn't read him-either of them. I wanted to know what my brother had thought of me, to hear that he truly cares about me. Reisi fixed his glasses. "What do you think of our little lioness?"
Mikoto was silent. Reisi smirked. "She's a strong girl, she's even caught her first criminal. "
Mikoto smirked. "I bet she beat the poor bastard damn near to death."
