The alarm had went off for the tenth time, and I just decided to roll over in bed. I was able to sleep for once in a long time, and the nightmares haven't came back.I'm starting to drift back to sleep until I hear my phone ring. I groan before looking at my phone. I still had two hours until I had to come in, and Inari was blowing my phone up nonstop. I set the phone down and just laid in bed. Thinking about what exactly does the day have in store for me. Then another ringtone had went off, and I groaned even louder, before answering the phone.
"Tsubaki desu?" I greeted, my voice sounded so croaky and tired.
"You answered," Saruhiko responded. "I was kinda expecting you to not respond so I can leave a message."
I sat up in bed. "Why would I not respond?"
"Because Inari was calling you not too long ago, and you didn't respond to her." I can hear clicking and the a pause. "I guess that makes me special."
I rubbed the bridge of my nose. "I just woke up."
"Not a good enough excuse," Saru remarks. "Anyway, I wanted to let you know that there's not much to do aside from patrols. So I'm making my way over to you."
"Why?" I asked. " I can walk there just fine."
"Because Munakata said so," He snapped. " Now hurry up and get dressed, I'm not gonna wait for you to get dressed.Unless..." His smooth voice dropped to a low velvety tone. "Unless you want me to help you get dressed. "
"G-Give me thirty minutes!" I was blushing. Startled and shocked that someone hadn't heard him say such a thing.
"Twenty." He says suavely.
"Fifteen." I suggested. I can hear him clicking his tongue in response.
"Fine. See you then." Click.
It had only taken me ten minutes to shower and dress, so I used my last five minutes getting a small breakfast. After cleaning my bowl, there was a knock on my door. It was Saru, he looked rather annoyed per normal, but when he saw me; I could've sworn I saw some sort of excitement flash in those blue eyes.
"Ohayo gozaimasu." His eyebrow slightly rose when he looked down at me., while his hands were behind his back.
"Ohayo, Fushimi-san." I greeted, before grabbing my keys and my deep blue jacket. "I'm ready to go now."
Fushimi stops me and reaches his hand towards me. Going farther and farther, until He ended up pulling something out of my hair. It was a black hair roller I used last night to keep my hair smooth and straight. My eyes widened before looking away from him, I took the roller and sat it on the table. "Anything else?" I ask, but he takes my hand and slowly twirls me around like I'm some sort of ballerina. He stopped me while my back was turned towards him and clicked his tongue.
" 'Fifteen minutes' , huh?" He mocks, before zipping my skirt all the way up and fixing my blouse. "You could've called me back if it was going to take you this long to get dressed."
I rolled my eyes before following him out to the van. He giving me a rundown of everything that's happened while I was away. Which was practically nothing much more than just days of patrols and minor investigations. Some of the officers were even helping regular police officers with their cases. Munakata was kind enough to give Inari the okay to visit her family in Nagasaki, so I didn't have my best friend for a few weeks. I was able to text her about everything.
When we had got back to HQ, I hopped out of the van and walked towards the door. Hurrying towards the main door, while Fushimi was slowly following behind me. I distinctly remember that there was a training ground on the east wing. "Oi." I stopped mid-step when I felt Fushimi's hand holding mine and twirls me back around. His hands at my arm and I couldn't hide the redness that was all over my face even if he wasn't holding my arms together, everything felt like that time when we kissed by the window. He had saved me from the spider, and I didn't trust him when he told me that the spider was gone. God, he looked so damn sexy up close to me. He sits on one knee and lifts my leg onto his. "Your shoe's untied, idiot."
