I sat down on the couch, exhausted from running. I threw my head back and put a hand on my forehead. I closed my eyes, trying to doze off.

But he had other plans. I suddenly felt jump on my lap, he started laughed like a maniac.

"BOO, ZANDER!!!!"

I sat up in a flash. "AH!"

I looked down to see a 5 year old little boy. He had messy black hair and bright sea green eyes. He was giggling at my expense.

"I scared you Zander!" His sea green eyes full of mischief.

I patted his head. "Yes, yes Perce. Now, your mom said you had some homework to finish, right?"

He pouted. He clung onto my jeans. "But I don't want to Zander! Please!" He did his begging face.

I looked away, knowing I would lose if I saw that adorable face. He looked like a baby sea lion. So cute.

"Percy," I almost begged, "Sally said you must do-"

Then my worst nightmare came. Percy started to cry. His cries were loud, I might add.

I tried to calm him down. "Percy! Please! The neighbors might hear!" No doubt that the entire street could hear.

I tried to no avail. I sighed, running my hand through my ginger hair. "Um, Beth? Could you give me a hand?"

A girl with dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes came in. She was wearing jeans, a white shirt, a green jacket, and tall brown boots.

She picked up Percy. "Aw, poor baby. Is Alex being a big meanie?"

I glared at her, but she put a finger to her lips. I rolled my eyes, but obliged.

Percy nodded. "I don't wanna do my homework, Eliza," he hiccuped.

"Well, if you do your homework, I'll let you make chocolate chip cookies with Alex and I," she compromised.

Percy immediately stopped crying and shot up. "Blue?"

She nodded and put him down. He ran into the kitchen. I sighed in relief.

"Thanks Beth. That kid has so much energy in him! I don't know how Sally survives!" I kissed her cheek.

She crossed her arms, smirking at me. "Well, she is Percy's mother. I bet she's the only one that can predict his mischief."

I nodded. "True. But luckily we have advantage too. I mean, we're both demigods like little Percy."

"Lizzie! Zander! Can you help me, please?" Percy's voice rang.

We both sighed.

*12 years later*

I unlocked my apartment door and trudged in. I quietly closed the door and plumped onto my recliner. I closed my eyes, trying to sleep.

"Daddy's home!"

I saw 2 little girls, one 6 and the other 4, race to me. They clambered onto my lap.

"Daddy! Daddy," said the 6 year old. She had ginger hair and blue-gray eyes, like me.

"Yes sweetie?"

"I read the Odyssey to Jackie!"

Jackie, the 4 year old with dark brown hair and clear blue-gray eyes, rolled her eyes. "It was boring, daddy! Today, I grew a grape vine! Mommy and I made grape juice!"

I patted both of their little heads. "Speaking of mommy, where is she?"

They pointed to the nursery. I got up and kissed their heads. I made my way to the room.
