S2 twenty

i wake up and check my phone. it's 10 am. i feel so sore and weak.

i hate this feeling. i look over me to see sophia and joey still sleeping.

they must be exhausted. i pull the covers off of me and slip on my shoes. i think i'm going to go to denny's for breakfast.

i go over to joeys side, "joey" i whisper

i shake him a little." baby" i whisper

"hm ..?" he says with his eyes still closed

"i'm going to denny's, do you want to come?"

he nods slowly." wake up soph" he yawns

i go over to soph and shake her, "soph, we're going to denny's, are you coming?"

"yeah yeah" she stretched

i go to the bag joey packed and slip on a sweatshirt and some ripped jeans, along with my high top checkered vans.

joey puts on a white t shirt and ripped jeans.

"ready to go?" joey asks

me and soph nod. we all head downstairs and ubered to denny's

"i'm so hungry" soph says as we're walking in

"me too" i say

the lady takes us to a booth and we sit.

she hands us our menus,"let me know when your ready to order" she smiles

i nod and she walks off.

"i'm going to get pancakes and bacon" sophia says

"i think i'm gonna get french toast" i say

"i'm just gonna get pancakes"joey rests his head on my shoulder

"i can't believe what happened last night"soph says

"me neither" i say

"joey are you okay?" i caress his cheek

he sighs, "charles was my best friend. i fought my best friend. ugh, i'm so disgusted with myself" he rubs his eyes

"hey, there was nothing you could do." i kiss his cheek

he lightly smiles and takes a drink of his water.

"that was my first fight" soph chuckles

"wait really?" i say surprised

she nods,"i still can't believe lexi and jacob are dating. it's so messed up. she knew what you guys had, and to just date him like that.."she crosses her arms

"i didn't even know they were together" i say

"i don't think anyone did, besides everyone that was up there with them."

"i thought lexi changed" soph frowns

"me too" i sigh

"she's been blowing up my phone all last night" soph looks at her phone

"what was she saying?" i ask

"how fake and selfish me and you are" she rolls her eyes

i look over to joey and he was fast asleep on my lap. i run my fingers through his soft silky hair.

"are you guys ready to order?" the lady says

i nod, " i'll have the french toast, with scrambled eggs and a side of bacon, she will have pancakes and bacon. and he will have pancakes with hash browns." i smile
