AN: so, here we are, on the road again—doing my thing, writing. Okay, bye. (Sorry for it almost being a month, by the way!)

The living room was almost just big enough for you, Billy, Steve, Hopper—Jim, you fucking—Jonathan, Nancy—and let's not forget—the six kids, three of them which you were glaring at.
A cough made you snap your head to the right as eyes met with Jim's and you rose an eyebrow, crossing your arms.
Steve had been shot, yesterday because of some stupid heroic plans the kids had tried to make—which backfired—and honestly, you didn't know if you've ever been this mad at someone before.
“I want an explanation of yesterday. How, why, what—the whole damn thing.” The sharp tone in your voice made Jane hug herself as she stared at the floor and Mike sighed.
“Listen, sometimes after school, we stay for AV club—it's just a hobby.” A blush covered his cheeks before he cleared his throat and intertwined his hands together. “Jane wanted to see it—”
“But then we heard growling!” Dustin interrupted and you slowly turned your attention to him as he waved his arms around. “Remember when you almost broke Billy's nose—”
Scoff.
“I'm still pissed about that, by the way.”
Sigh. Side-eye Hargrove. His mouth slams shut before he rolls his eyes.
“But the demodogs had tried to eat us, yeah? Well, it was the same noises, you know—the kKKKYSSSSII—”
You waved your hand at him, mentally remind yourself to have a talk with Billy later about the ‘incident’ with his nose and cut the kid off.
“Don't need a demonstration, thanks.” Your elbow rested on your knee as you slowly pointed at Jonathan, his posture straightening. “Where do you come in, in this story?”
Eyebrows raised. Eyes trail to his hands. He's playing with his fingers.
“Ah, I had figured Will was with them and I had come to pick him up from school.” His voice was shaking as all the attention was on him and you nodded. “Instead, I found Dustin—with a shovel, where'd you find that by the way?”
“Oh, the school has a gardening club—”
Rolling your eyes, you pinched the bridge of your nose for a second before clapping, silence filling the room. “Losing. Focus. You found Dustin, and?”
“Right, he had a shovel and he was talking about how Mike had a plan to kill this—and i quote—’son of a bitch’ and that Eleven would have to be with him, so that's why he was alone.”
Biting the inside of your cheek, your eyes found Nancy's and you narrowed your eyebrows. “Where were you in all this? It isn't a…coinciedence that you were just, there.”
“I was looking for my idiot brother. Which, I found, in a classroom with Eleven—before he shoved me out and closed the door.” She looked at Mike, crossing her arms at him and you hang your head.
“Okay, so, I'm guessing you called after you found Dustin?” You look up at Jonathan to see him nodding at you before pointing at Hopper.
“That's when you came.”
Rubbing your eyes, you groan and lay on the floor, looking at the ceiling with an intense stare. “It was Hopper's day to pick up Jane—”
Suddenly, you sat up. “It was Hopper's day to pick up Jane, oh my God!” Pressing the palms of your hands into your eyes, you had finally placed the pieces together.
