Paper being crumpled made you grit your teeth as you kicked a rock on the ground and sighed, looking around the lab.

The love you had felt for this group was becoming dangerously stupid and you cuss at yourself as you shined the flashlight into the next room, groaning when no one was in there.

“This day fucking blows!”

“Princess, be quiet, now. We're supposed to hide ourselves and we can't when you're yelling like a fucking monkey!” He seethed, the light blinding as he shined it on you and you hissed at him, trying to bat it away.

“This is all Hopper's fault.”

The both of you turned to each other before you sighed, shaking your head at the predicament you were in and you walked off, light guiding you.

The sound of tapping filled the room as you crossed your arms and raised your eyebrows at the kids standing in the basement.

“We can explain—” Lucas.

“Yeah, we just—” Mike.

“We were—” Dustin.

“We're so—” Will.

“We were worried—” Max.

“Worried.” Eleven nodded her head and you brought your hand to your forehead, groaning at the six demons staring back at you.

“All of you are supposed to be in school right now, not—not playing hide and seek with your parents!” Groaning, you threw your arms in the air as you paced around the room, biting your lip.

“Y/N—” Mike uttered, eyes looking up at you and you stopped, narrowing your eyes.

“I have two bratty men upstairs who are literally getting on my nerves and we have to go on a rescue mission! Plus—now I have to get all of you to school before we leave!” You watched as they all pouted and looked down before you pointed at the stairs. “Get your asses up there—”

“We're going! God, Y/N, you're being—”

“Lucas, I will lock you in a closet. Do. Not. Try. Me. Today.” The anger seethed out as you stomped up the stairs, eyes meeting with two pairs and you watched as they jumped up, smiles wide.

“Y/N—”

“Max?!”

Billy's voice echoed through the Byers house and you struggled to keep in a moan of disappointment before you grabbed his collar.

“I took care of it, calm down.” You muttered, placing a jacket on before you pointed to the group of idiots and they could tell you were pissed. “Hopper needs us. Having all of you here will be an inconvenience to whatever rescue mission we need to do, so Steve here, will take you to school.”

Tossing your keys to the boy, he raised an eyebrow before shrugging and ushering the kids out after they finished getting ready. He stopped and turned to you, eyes softening with adoration as you stared your axe down before tossing a flashlight to Billy.

“Hey, Y/N—meet you at the lab?”

“Sounds like a perfect first date, get going, Harrington. You're making the kids later than they need to be.” You spoke, strapping a knife to your thigh before turning to smile at him and you let out a breath.
