This week has felt so long but fast-paced. So many things have already happened, too many things, and it's barely Wednesday. The highlight though, definitely making up my mind about Mr.Porter. I was supposed to make that decision today, but it came a day early. I was so excited to see him.

I started my day by getting ready for school. I thought about how much he hated that I always wore crop tops so I decided to wear a full coverage shirt and a pair of blue jeans. I threw on my converse and sat down in front of my mirror. Now here goes the long part of my morning. I straightened my hair and then curled it. I went downstairs and ate breakfast, while I waited for Amber to pick me up.

This would be the first day of me and Mr.Porter being official. To us, anyway. To the rest of the world, we'd be just as much as we were before. A relationship not surpassing the limits of a teacher and student relationship. On one hand, I feel like that's what we need, to have a successful relationship and it'd be good for us. But on the other hand, it would just put so much pressure on us it would be stressful.

The concerns I previously had were, of course, still there. However, I was willing to risk it all for him. I pulled my hair onto the front of both of my shoulders and walked downstairs. "Hey mom, you're up early."  I kissed her cheek and ruffled Thomas's hair as he walked past me and to his little sister.

"I made breakfast this morning, no cereal today." We walked into the kitchen and started making plates. I handed Sarah a plate of one pancake and some eggs. I then handed Thomas his plate of two pancakes and eggs. He wasn't going to finish both of them, but he'd eat half of the second one. Sarah can only eat one. Mom and I sat down with our plates of pancakes and eggs and began to eat.

Halfway through, there was a honk outside. "Invite her in for breakfast, there's a little bit more food. We're not going to eat it." Mom instructed me. I nodded and walked outside to her car.

"Hey babes, come in for breakfast. My mom made pancakes." I told her as she rolled down her window.

"Oh gosh yes! Pancakes sound so freaking good right now." She rolled up her window, turned her car off and then opened her door. She got out and walked with me into the house.

"Hey Tommy, hey Sarah, Hey Ms.Davis." She waved at everyone. I watched as Thomas' and Sarah's faces lit up and jumped out of their seats. They ran to Amber and hugged her tightly. Amber dramatically groaned and picked Sarah up. "Oh gosh, the two of you just get bigger and bigger everytime I see you." She set Sarah down and tickled Thomas. He laughed uncontrollably and then Amber walked over to my mom and hugged her.

"Good morning, Amber." She smiled. Amber said it back and then walked into the kitchen and made herself a plate. She came back with two pancakes and eggs.

After Amber and I finished eating, we washed our dishes and then left for school. On the way, I told her that me and Mr.Porter had made it official. She slammed on her breaks and screeched so loud my ears rang afterward. We were lucky we weren't on the main road yet, that would've been bad. She hit my arm so hard and looked into my eyes for like 5 seconds before screaming again and bouncing in her seat.

We started to laugh from disbelief. Saying it out loud to someone made it feel more real. It was so surreal now, laughing was the only thing I could do. Soon our laughter died out and my mouth turned into a small smile. We were finally official, in whatever way we could be and that was extremely exhilarating.

I found myself getting giddy as we got closer and closer to school, in turn, getting closer and closer to Mr.Porter. I wondered, was I always gonna have to call him Mr.Porter, or would I be able to call him by his first name? Come to think of it, I didn't even know his first name. I made the decision in my mind that I was going to find it out if it was the last thing that I did.
