Condescending: having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority
At the end of the day, I got a text from Mr.Porter. I pulled my phone out to read it.

'Dinner?' I started to smile and remembered the touch of his skin against mine earlier. How was it not awkward to fuck and then have dinner the same day as if nothing happened? Was that how it was for everyone? I always imagined that it'd always be awkward and cause me to try to avoid the person that I had sex with.

'Yes please,' I responded. I wonder where he would take me.

"Hello? Earth to Samantha." I looked up from my phone to see Amber waving her hand in front of my face. "You coming?" She asked.

I shook my head. "No, I'm having dinner with Dean," I explained and she nodded her head.

"Okay, well then, I'll pick you up tomorrow." She smiled and we walked out of the classroom and headed our separate ways. When I got to his classroom and walked in, he was talking to a teacher and there was a boy standing near his desk.

"I'll get to you in a second." He looked at me and smiled before continuing his conversation with the teacher.

"Are you here to talk to him about tutoring too?" The boy asked me. I walked over to him and shook my head.

"No, why?" I asked curiously.

"Because he's canceled it like two weeks in a row and a lot of us really need it." He quickly explained.

"Oh. Uh no. That sucks though. I wonder why he did that." I shrugged even though I knew why. He was out of state and then spending time with me. I totally forgot that he even tutored because he said that to get with me.

The teacher that Mr.Porter was talking to left the room and the boy walked up to him.

"Mr.Porter, I was wondering when you're going to start tutoring again." He asked him.

"Really soon, Micheal. I've been out of state so now that I'm back it'll start back up again. Don't worry about it, you're smart and you'll do great in my class!" He cheered him on.

"Oh okay. Well, thank you." He sighed before walking out of the class.

Mr.Porter turned to me and smiled. "And what can I help you with Samantha?"

"Actually, I'm just about to head off with my boyfriend for dinner but I was wondering if I could come to your tutoring session on Tuesday, not the one on Thursday. I have some needs that I need satisfied." I bit my lip and then smirked.

"Oh, is that so? I thought I satisfied those earlier today." He cocked an eyebrow.

"I guess I just can't get enough of you." I stepped towards him.

"Well in that case." He closed the gap between us and kissed my lips softly. "Let's get you to dinner." He rubbed my arm and then walked behind his desk and grabbed his bag and we walked out of the school together. The halls were almost empty but some students still lingered, presumably waiting for their parents.

"How are your grades looking?" He randomly asked me as we were walking down the hall.

"Uh for your class or for all of them?" I replied not sure exactly what grades he wanted to know about.

"All of them." He opened the door for me as we walked out of the school.

"They're all good I think. I haven't really checked them." I looked down to make sure I didn't fall down the stairs.

"Well, you need to. Your grades need to be good." He replied.

"Yeah, I know that. I'm sure they're good." I rolled my eyes, a little annoyed at his condescending tone, however, I did make sure to turn my head so he wouldn't see my defiance.
