after 2 weeks...

"Are you sure I can come here?" Wendy asked Irene when they arrived at the venue. She was told it was a family gathering but she's not related or so whatever but Irene begged her, in exchange, she can take her time with her manuscript. Wendy can't say no to that.

"You know that I'm scared of strangers right? It's a big thing for me that you're around." Irene said.

"What about your boyfriend then?"

"I don't know. Maybe with his friends."

Wendy looked at Irene unbelievably. Just what boyfriend leaves his girlfriend alone?

Wendy looked around the venue, it's inside a mansion and Wendy doesn't know if she'd ever find her way around there if she'd go on her own.

Wendy unconsciously held the ring and rounded it. It became a habit until now she still can't take it off. She tried all the method she can think of maybe except for cutting her finger which certainly she wouldn't do.

She also hasn't contacted Hoseok too since she still can't take the ring off and he also hasn't contacted her yet too.

"Bae." A guy wearing a black tux came walking towards them. Must be Irene's boyfriend. "Sorry I just came to you now. I've been busy."

Irene just shook her head. "It's okay. This is Wendy by the way, my friend, the one I told you about."

The guy turned to her and they both nod their head as a way of acknowledging each other's presence. "The writer?"

Wendy smiled. "Yeah."

Taehyung led them to an empty table and left once again to find his friends.

Irene and Wendy just looked at their surrounding when Wendy saw Seulgi. What is she doing there?

She waved at her and Seulgi waved back making her way towards their table.

"Yah~ Why are you here? But I'm glad though, My saliva's going to dry out from not talking with anyone." She said and sat down beside Wendy.

Irene laughed introducing herself.

"...Oh, you're the editor? I see." Seulgi nodded her head.

"Why are you here anyway? We should've gone together." Wendy said. Since they live on the same house, it's Sooyoung's house actually but the three of them lived together since they were in college.

"Remember the guy at the club? he invited me here."

Wendy gasped and Irene just listened curiously. "The hot guy?"

Seulgi nodded. "His name is Jimin."

"Jimin?" Irene asked suddenly, Seulgi and Wendy turned to her. "He's Taehyung's friend."

Seulgi beamed. "Really? wow."

Wendy leaned on her chair and looked at the two talks. They just clicked suddenly.

"Uh... excuse me, outsider, here." She said raising her hand. Seulgi and Irene turned to her and looked at each other giggling.

Wendy rolled her eyes, somebody take her home now.

They stopped talking to each other when the program started. Wendy didn't know that it's how a rich family does it. There are quite many people in there. It must be a big family, she felt more uncomfortable since she's just a friend and she's not even acquainted with Irene's boyfriend.

"...This is not only a simple family gathering." A beautiful lady in her 50's said. "Another family member will be added soon in our family, and though I haven't seen her yet, I trust that my son chose a lady that will bring him happiness."

Wendy's eyes widen when Hoseok suddenly appeared on the spotlight taking the mic from his mother.

Taehyung and two other guys suddenly went to their table and two of them sat beside Seulgi and Irene. Irene immediately linked her arms with Taehyung both whispering. Irene said something and Taehyung nod his head.

But Wendy was too preoccupied with the guy at the front to notice the knowing look that the couple gave to her. Hoseok smiled at the people and cleared his throat.

"Good evening. I'd like to take this chance to introduce my soon-to-be-wife to all of you." He said and slowly made his way on the tables.

Wendy looked around to see where he could be headed, curious of the girl he's going to marry. When her attention went back to him, she was frozen on her seat to see him walking towards her turning the spotlight on her head.

Her heart pounded so hard, she could already hear it. It echoes in her ear that she can barely notice the people surrounding them. She was taken aback and utterly confused.

What's happening?

Although her expression says that she's surprised, Hoseok is smiling at her widely on the other hand. Her expression is just too cute for him to handle, he wanted to pinch those cheeks.

Wendy was still frozen on her feet when Hoseok stood in front of her, held her hand the one with the ring on and kissed it. To say that she was flustered is an underestimated, she's embarrassed.

Hoseok looked up and intertwined their fingers leading her in front. She felt her hand sparked when his skin came in contact with her hands, it's the second time now.

The person who was only surprised on the table was Seulgi, the others were just grinning for a job well done. But Wendy didn't know that.

She was silent until they stopped in front and introduced her.

"Meet my fiancè, Wendy. Please be good to her." Hoseok said taking Wendy by her waist. The people cheered for them.

She stared up to him and he must've felt her stare so he looked down on her and gave her one of those smiles that any woman can't refuse. She can feel his warm hand on her waist and it certainly gave her a fuzzy feeling and his stare that said he adores her, it was a waste because all those feelings that she could've felt that moment are all changed with anger.

He just gave her a reason to hate him now.
