The listening party
Three weeks later...The boys got Diddy to approve the extra songs on what would be their third studio album, titled "The Journey". Twelve tracks were carefully placed on the new album that was set to drop at midnight. They held the party at one of Diddy's fancy studios outside of Atlanta that supposedly no one knew about. When they arrived, they immediately saw otherwise.
"Dustin, what's going on?" Patrick's voice rang through Dustin's car's Bluetooth speaker. "We wanted something chill. This looks like a red carpet event."
Kelly was now calling on the other line.
"I don't know man, let me answer Kel." He said before clicking over.
"Yo man!" Kelly was heated.
"I know.. I don't know what the hell is going on here."
Carnell sat on the passenger side of Dustin's car. He huffed. "We specifically told Sean that it would be a private listening party. Just a few people we know would be here. Not all of his damn people."
"You better check this nigga Dustin.. you know you don't want me to do it." Kelly told him with seriousness all in his voice.
He sighed. Dustin knew nothing he said would matter to Diddy. There was only one person that could fix this and that one person wasn't managing or fucking with B5's business. So he knew they'd have to suck it up.. besides, their album is dropping after all.
The boys parked where they could. Crazy, huh? You have a listening party for your group and you don't even get special parking? On top of that, everyone shows up before you. They could be listening to your music already. After getting out and trying to convince Dustin on talking to Diddy, they headed inside. So many familiar faces were in the room chatting and mingling.
The girls were here to support B5, except Faith who planned to come after work. Nevertheless, she'd be ready to support her husband and keep their home business at home for tonight.
Chelsea sipped her drink as she basked in the unprofessionalism of Sean Combs. "Talk about only having friends for the listening party. I didn't know they were friends with some of these people."
"Stop being petty Chels. Be glad they even let you be here." Viah said with her pettiness.
Chelsea laughed. "Girl please.. you know I wasn't invited. I invited myself.."
Nicole laughed. "I'm just here to see who I can see. I heard Trey was coming."
"He told me he was."
"I'm here in case somebody punches the hell out of Diddy first, then secondly for Bryan." Destiny was always in lawyer mode.
About an hour later Faith pulled up outside.
"What the fuck is this? All these damn cars in the way.." she tried to find a park. "I'm most def NAWT parking way back there." She dialed her baby daddy's number.
"Hey Baby,"
She rolled her eyes, dismissing his greeting. "I need you to come outside.. and why is it so packed? Is paparazzi here?"
"Someone must've leaked the party. I don't know who half of these people are."
"This is terrible.."
Faith watched as Dustin approached her Benz truck.
"Are you parking here?" He looked confused.
"No," she said while sliding out. "You're going to park it for me."
"Faith.."
"I'm pregnant as hell and didn't want to walk that far."
