Make It Work [B5 Story]

Dustin got a call from Brian-Michael Cox. He heard about Bryan being in jail and news got out to Puff. Sean Combs has been on the road and hasn't had time to address the situation like he's wanted too. But B. Cox, had time so he asked them to come and listen to what he had to say, even though B5 let him go.

Carnell finally came back and got caught up. Everyone was on his head about his recent absence in all this. Still, he was pissed and worried about what could possibly happen. Bryan was released two days after his arrest so he was able to meet up with B. Cox as well.

"So what's up, B? Why are we here?" Kelly asked.

"Imma just tell y'all straight up. I know I'm not your producer anymore since y'all fired me but regardless of all that, it's some shit y'all should know. Sean Combs is a snake ass motherfucker. I've been working with him for years but I've never seen or heard about him doing shit the way he's been doing y'all." B. Cox sighed. He wasn't sure if they would be able to handle the information he was about to give. "Let's put all of our bullshit aside. I've always wanted to see you guys succeed because I know you've got the work ethic. You guys just make terrible decisions."

"Man don't come in here with that shit B!" Patrick got loud.

"No, I'm telling you this shit for a reason.. because it all leads up to something that's got your ass in some shit or will get your ass in some shit later! You need to fucking listen!"

"Talk B. Cox... we wanna know everything," Dustin said calmly. He could tell it was about to be some shit.

"Sean is out to get y'all." He told them. "You haven't got paid because somewhere in your contract, you signed away your percentage to his businesses. You didn't read it. Eventually you will start seeing money but it won't be what you think. Just enough to keep stringing you along to do whatever he says. That's the first thing I need to tell you. Secondly," he paused. "He's been watching y'all."

"Watching us?" Bryan asked.

"Watching us how?" Carnell interrupted.

"At meetings. Y'all obviously talk too much. He picked up on some things and is probably the reason why Bryan went to jail."

"What'd he pick up on?" Kelly wanted to know.

"Mannerisms and words. You guys must've been acting hella funny or suspicious. Something about helping Bryan do something, I don't know but he really didn't know what was going on. And I don't know the truth about the situation but whatever they came and picked you up for Bryan, Sean told them. He said the police came to his house and asked questions about you. Which I believe it was the other way around.."

"They did mention an anonymous tip." Bryan said.

"Well I know they're trying to close Dean Shields case and they are looking for anything to blame somebody for his death. Somehow your name came up and Sean's the reason why. He's saying you all had something to do with it."

Heated was an understatement.

"All I can tell you is to stay calm, continue to act normal when he returns but I'll help you take him down. Sean's mean and dirty. He's done me wrong and you guys. And I'm tired."

"How do you know all of this?" Dustin asked.

"Because pretty boy.. he's still doing coke. And he doesn't know how to not talk on the shit.. I overheard some things. Do y'all wanna take the dirty motherfucker down or let him ruin your life? He's got pulls. He can put you down. All he needs is money and he'll use the money you guys made to do it."

Reality was setting in for them and Bryan was first to answer since he was in the hot seat. "We're in."
