The day of trial
______
Everyone arrived earlier than expected to court. They were all calm on the outside but on the inside, emotions were turning flips.

Dustin and Faith showed up together with the twins but really weren't speaking. Faith rode in the back with the babies and decided to give Dustin some space.

Kelly and Viah were talking. He just had quite a few questions on his mind about his future wife and her ex lover as they dragged a crying Avery into the court room.

"Avery, quit showing out! We're in public." Viah told her as if she understood.

Kelly took Avery from Vee and tried to calm her down.

Patrick and Nicole were speaking as well but they might as well not been. Everything was on Patrick's end and Nicole was dry with her responses.

Carnell was indeed angry at what happened. He still wanted to put hands on Luke James. He also believed Chelsea but he could not talk to her right now. He needed to calm down before he said something he might regret. They rode separately to the court.

Bryan, on the other hand, was freaking out. He worried about what would happen today. Would Destiny be able to pull this off? Would he be around to watch his child be born? Grow up? So many thoughts rambled his mind.

Everybody came together, including the boys' parents to say a quick prayer before having to go in. They all sat in there designated areas and waited for things to get started.

"All Rise!" The clerk announced. Everyone stood. "This court is now in session. Judge Harold Sanchez presiding, you made be seated."

The judge came in and everybody looked at him. He was from a Latino background and all minds went to the gutter immediately.

The judge begin to speak. "Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Calling the case of the people of Georgia versus Bryan Breeding. Are you all ready?"

Both lawyers stated, "Ready your honor."

"Will the clerk please swear in the jury?"

The clerk proceeded to swear in the jury. After the jury was sworn in, it was time to present the case.

Dean Shields wife, Veronica, sat as if she was in shambles and torn about her husband's death. Her lawyer stood up and begin to speak.

"Good morning your honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. The evidence that I will be providing today shows that the defendant is being charged with murder in the first degree. The evidence provided will contain facts that make him guilty as charged."

He sat down and Destiny took a deep breath stood up.

"Good morning your honor and ladies and gentlemen of the jury. Under the law my client is presumed innocent until proven guilty. During this trial, you will hear no real evidence against my client. You will come to find out the truth about my client. He is a loving and caring person who only acts out of being provoked. My client was simply defending himself in the act, therefore my client is not guilty."

Destiny went on to sit down.

"The prosecution may call its first witness." The judge said.

Veronica's lawyer, Marq, stood up. "I call Mrs. Veronica Shields to the stand."

Whispers went throughout the court as she stood up and went to the stand. After she was sworn in, the questions begin to roll in.

"Mrs. Shields, tell me what do you do?"

"I own a flower shop. I work there from time to time but I just manage mostly."

"How long has this been going on?"
