Luca wondered through the platform, observing all the families saying goodbye. Luca's family never came. They had seen it all, she had 5 older brothers, all of whom were the apple of her parents eyes, her , she was just there, like she always had been. They didn't treat her wrong , just like she was invisible, which to Luca was fine. She had never known any different.

Luca hopped onto the train dragging her luggage behind her. Her Persian cat Zami followed her as she took off to look for a compartment. She never worried about finding Lily. Lily was a prefect and had things to do. Luca would just simply wait for her to come.

After about 5 minutes of searching, near the end of the train Luca found a nice quite compartment, away from all the chattering students around her. She took out a book she had been reading and started to get lost in a world of thrilling adventures and secrets. She turned the pages enjoying the nice solitude the back of the train had to offer as she stroked Zami's fur. Time and reality slipped away as she read her thrilling tale. She hadn't noticed until Lily came barging into the compartment.

"Luca" she exclaimed "there you are, I have been all over the bloody train looking for you!"

Luca looked up from her book and gave Lily a sheepish smile.

"Sorry, all the others were full, plus, this is a great place to read"

Lily shook her head and smiled at her best friends words.

"I shouldn't have expected anything less from you Luca, now tell me about your summer!"

Luca began her boring tale about how she was ignored and spent the summer locked away studying the text books and reading exciting new tales. Lily told of how her summer was spent in France with her family, she also told her of Petunias new boyfriend that was absolutely terrible.

All too soon it was time to change into their uniforms, well Luca to change into hers as Lily already had hers on due to prefect duties.

Luca grabbed her nice crisp black robe and uniform and headed off in search of the bathroom to change. People watched in awe of how gracefully Luca walked. She omitted a aura that made people want to watch an stare. Of course she never paid any mind to the stares of the strangers as she walked.

She had finished changing and headed back to her compartment shared with Lily, as she got there, she was greeted with the sight of James Potter currently trying and failing to woo Lily Evans into going on a date with him. His trouble making friends no where in sight.

"No Potter, I will not go out with an arrogant toe-rag like you!"

"Come on Evans! You can resist all of this."

Luca was used to conversations like this from the two of them. She had witnessed 6 years of it. She went back to reading and left Lily to fend off the crazy hormonal teenage boy.

The train finally arrived at Hogwarts. Luca loved Hogwarts, it was home. She loved all of the teachers and she loved the atmosphere. Of course the only thing she didn't like was the fact that she and Lily were in different houses. They usually had most of the same classes though.

She headed off to the Ravenclaw table and sat in silence waiting for the Ceremony to start.

"It's good to be back."
