Today was the day. Luca was finally going to see her brothers again. Christmas was the only time she sees them after all. Sometimes they don't even show up. Luca hasn't seen Oliver in at least 3 years, the same with Kristofer.

She understands that her brothers are busy. They have lives now, and jobs, and one even has a family, but Luca gets lonely living in that house all alone. Her parents are always at work, or in her mothers case, out with her friends, trying to set up marriages for her four older brothers that aren't married.

The only friend that Luca has in her house is her personal house elf Twinkle. Twinkle has taken care of her for as long as she can remember. Luca used to think it was sad that her only friend was a house elf, then she got to Hogwarts and realized that people are worse than house elves.

As she was thinking about her brothers and beloved elf, Luca was finishing up packing all the things she would need for the two weeks of winter break.

"Okay," said Luca mumbling to herself as she went over her packing list, "I've got my clothes, I got my presents for my brothers, Lily, the Marauders, my parents, and Sicheng. I also got my book, and I got the present that Lily gave me, I think I am set." she said as she put down her packing list and shut her trunk. "Now all I need to do is get Zami." Zami, Luca's cat, liked to wonder. She never stayed in the same place, most of the year Luca wouldn't see her, but when it was time to leave, Zami would magically appear again. "Oh well, she will appear soon." With that said, Luca grabbed her trunk and headed out of her dorm and off to find Lily. Every year Lily and Luca would meet at the Great Hall when it was time to leave, so that way they would sit together on the train.

This year, Luca made it to the Great Hall before Lily. She spotted Zami over by the door, picked her up and was just about to pull out her book to read when she felt a tap on her shoulder. "Hello there, Little Red." Luca turned around to face Sirius. "Hello." Sirius dramatically sighed. "We are going to be apart for a whole week and a half and all I get is a "hello? You wound me Little Red." said the boy as he playfully put his hand over his heart. Luca just rolled her eyes and went back to trying to get Zami, who had climbed on Luca's book and decided it would be a great place for a nap, to move.

"So," said the boy trying to start up a conversation, "You excited to see your family again?" Luca, who had finally gotten her Persian cat to move, looked up at the boy and just nodded her head. "Well, that's good." said the boy while awkwardly clearing this throat. Lucky for them, they were saved from their awkwardness when James came running into view.

"Luca!" said the boy as he stopped in front of them out of breath, "Glad I caught you. You are still coming to my house for Christmas right?"

"Yes, I will be there on Christmas night."

"Okay, if I were you, I would just floo over. It is the quickest way. Just say "Potter Residence" and you should be good." Once seeing that Luca understood, James turned to look over at his best friend, "Well Padfoot, we should get going, see you in a week Luca!" said James as he started walking off leaving Sirius and Luca alone.

"Well, this is it, Little Red. The last time you will see me for a whole week, how ever will I manage not seeing your little face everyday?" said the boy as he hugged the girl. Luca being uncomfortable with physical contact, just patted the boys arm. "I think you will live." she said as she wiggled out of his grasp. "No, I don't think you understand, a week is a lot longer than is seems Luca." As Luca was about to respond to the dramatic teen, Lily finally arrived.

"Sorry I took so long," said the red headed girl, "It took me forever to find my present to my mother. It turns out, that I had already packed it." Lily, noticing that they were not alone, turned to the black haired boy. "Hello Black, may I ask why you are here?"

"Well you see, I couldn't stand not to say goodbye to Little Red over here, so I merely came to wish her a Happy Christmas and send her off." Sirius said with an innocent smile on his face. In the distance Sirius could here his name being called, "I'm afraid this is where we part ways, farewell my ladies, don't forget me!" he called over his shoulder as he sauntered out of the castle.

"I don't know how you are friends with that." said Lily as she picked up all of her belongings. "Come on, we are going to miss the train." With that the two red heads headed down to the carriages and began their winter break.

I finished! This chapter kinda sucks (like all my writing). Guess what! As I am currently writing this, it is January 14, 2019, two months since I started this book, and we already have 1.1k reads!

That is so cool! Thanks so much, also I would love if yall would give me feed back on my writing. I know I am not that good, but I want to improve, so I would really appreciate it. Anyways, happy reading!
