Over the next week, the two Marauders couldn't help but notice Luca. She had been in all of their classes for years and they never noticed her. They couldn't believe it. How had they missed the little red head for 6 whole years. They had to talk to her again. They had to because she was different. She wasn't one of their fan girls following them around, she flat out called them out. The only other person to do that was none other than her bestfriend, Lily Evans. They had a plan. They were going to talk to her, if that meant cornering her, so be it.

It had been a normal day for Luca. She had ate breakfast with Lily, gone to her first classes, and was on her way to lunch, where she would meet up with the Gryffindor beauty.

She spotted Lily in the Great Hall at the Gryffindor table where they usually eat lunch. Luca plopped down on the open spot next to Lily, farthest away from all the other noisy kids in the Great Hall. Lily and Luca started talking about their days and up and coming projects they were going to start for their classes later that night. Their peace was disturbed when the 2 noisy Marauders and their slightly less noisy friends, Remus and Peter.

"Don't those buffoons know that they cant just make a ruckus every time they enter a room?" asked an exasperated Lily.

Luca looked over at the boys that were headed right towards them.

"Well, you might have to put up with their "ruckus" because they are coming over right now." said Luca pointing at the 4 boys.

Lily turned and saw that they were indeed coming towards them.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of your presence Potter?" asked an annoyed Lily.

"Oh us, we just came over to talk to our favorite red heads." said James.

"That's right, after our encounter the other night, we just had to talk to little red over here." said Sirius.

Lily turned and looked at Luca.

"Encounter?"

"Well it was more of these two idiots dragging me around the bloody castle and shoving me in a class room, so there would be no more "witnesses"." said a bored Luca.

Lily turned back to look at the two boys.

"So you toe-rags dragged Luca around the castle for your own personal reasons?" asked the angry red head.

"Come on my Lily flower, she was in the way, and we did her a favor, anyways that it not why we came over here. We came to discuss on why no one has ever seen you before. I thought I knew everybody, but I don't know you." said James.

"That's not true. I know Remus, we study together on Thursdays and Fridays, we have for over 4 years." said Luca.

The two boys turned to look at their reading friend.

"Moony, why did you never tell us?" asked Sirius.

"I did, you just assumed when I said I studied with a Luca, that she was a guy. I asked if you wanted to come for over 2 years but I gave up because you said you don't like going to the library."

"Oh right." said James looking down embarrassed.

"I don't see why this is a big deal," said an bored Luca. "Why do you care so much anyways. You haven't cared about my existents for 6 years, why now?"

"Because Little Red, we didn't know you exist. Now we do and we want to know you."

Lily being tuned out of the conversation looking over her things for her next class suddenly piped up.

"Lucs, we got to go, class is starting soon and we don't want to be late." Lily said as she gathered all her things.

"You're right lets go," Luca said as she turned to look at the 4 boys. "This has been a lovely conversation, lets not make a habit of it though, Rem, I will see you on Thursday, as for the rest of you, please leave me alone, I really have no interest in knowing you. Good day." and with that she chased after Lily to their next class.

The boys watched as both of them left the Great Hall.

"Did we just get blown off?" asked Sirius.

"I think we did Paddy." said a confused James.

Remus looked up from his book.

"Look guys, it would be best if you gave up Luca, she really hates people, and especially you two. She hears about you guys from Lily all the time and she had grown the same hatred that Lily has for you, you aren't going to get her to change her mind. Now come on, we have class to go to. " The werewolf said as he stood up.

The two boys however weren't going to give up. They loved a challenge, and little did she know, Luca Anastasia Volkov has just become their biggest, and best challenge yet.
