Chapter nine

Third POV:
Taehyung and Jungkook stood back to back, weapons in hand, as the dead began to close in on them blocking the view of the rest of the group. "Can you see them?" Taehyung asked Jungkook, panic evident in his voice. Sure he had been separated from the rest of the group before, but never when there was this many walkers around. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure they're fine, you've seen them fight before plus shouldn't you be worrying about yourself" Jungkook replied as he killed the walkers that were closest to him. "We need to clear a path out" Jungkook said "we have to leave, this camp belongs to the dead now, there's no way of getting it back, there's way too many. I'm sure that's what the others did too" Jungkook said as more and more of the dead kept surrounding them. "Y-ya your right" Taehyung said hesitantly, clearly sad about losing his home, while also being worried for the rest of the group. "It'll be fine, don't worry" Jungkook reassured. So that's what they did, they started clearing a straight path through the dead until they were finally free from them and the once loud groaning became a distant sound. "We need to find them" Taehyung said after a few moments of silence. "Your right, but we don't know which direction they went" Jungkook answered. Taehyung began to freak out "y-you don't th-think anything happened to them d-do you? I mean there fine, nothing happened to them. Right? Right?" "Taehyung you need to calm down panicking won't help anyone, I'm sure they got out we just have to keep a level head and look for them" Jungkook replied as calmly as he could in the hope that Taehyung would stop his frenzy. He didn't want to admit it but he too was really worried about the group, even though he didn't know them that long, they were still family, they accepted him into their group even though they didn't know him, even though he was a stranger, not many people do that nowadays. Most people would have kicked him out and left him as walker food or even just kill him on the spot, but not them they were good people, but good people were usually the first to die, that's what made him so worried. Good people were taken advantage of, robbed of food, water, shelter, weapons, ammunition and basically anything else that would help them survive. These days kindness was seen as a weakness and Jungkook was afraid someone else would find them before he could, then it would be all over for them. These thought pushed Jungkook to find them as soon as possible "alright let's go" he announced. Taehyung, who had been looking down, snapped his head up to look at Jungkook in surprise "But you said it yourself we don't know what direction they went, we wouldn't be able to find them, we're hopeless, there gone and there's nothing we can do". "We definitely won't be if you keep that attitude. Now come on smile, you look cuter that way" Jungkook smirked.

Taehyung's POV:
'Did Jungkook just call me cute' I thought excitedly. Damn how can one person change my mood so quickly. "Are you flirting with me right now" I asked sassily (I honestly hate that word I just couldn't think of anything better
-_-) deciding to play along. "That depends, is it working?" Jungkook asked, eyebrow raised and a smirk still on his face. "Nope" I said popping the 'p' now smirking myself. "Then no, no I wasn't" Jungkook chuckled his smirk now turning into more of a playful smile. "Seriously, what planet are you from?" I asked while laughing which caused him to laugh in response. With both our moods after being lifted higher then I thought possible at a time like this, when I had been feeling so hopeless, we decided to start looking for the rest of the group. With calm clear heads we started making a plan.
