Chapter eleven

Taehyung's POV:
After finding the horses a new spark of hope had ignited inside me.

"Do you know how to ride horse?" I asked jungkook eagerly.

He nodded his head in response.

"Please can you teach me? It will make finding the others so much easier if we can both ride a horse" I pleaded with him.

A smile slowly spread across Jungkook's face.

"Of course I can, in the morning though, I can barely see two feet in front of me right now and I really don't want you to break your legs trying to ride a horse in the dark" he said.

I squealed in excitement "thank you so much kookie you're the best" I exclaimed as I brought Jungkook into a tight hug only to have my face go red as I realized what I was doing. Welp, no going back now I thought to myself as I continued to squeeze the life out of him ignoring the fact that my face felt like it was on fire from embarrassment. I slowly pulled away and thanked what ever god was out there that the dark hid my blush. I looked up at Jungkook and could see the look of shock on his face, even in the dark. The fact that I could see his shocked face made me less confident in my 'hidden' blush.

Jungkook's POV:
Taehyung gives the best hugs. It's a weird thing to think, I know, but standing here looking at him in shock it's the only thing I can think. I realized that had been staring too long and the atmosphere was becoming slightly awkward, which isn't exactly a bad thing and honestly should be expected when you have to spend every waking minute with someone you just met, no matter how close you feel. I cleared my throat to break the silence.

"W-we should probably go in" I said with a slight stutter.

Tae snapped out of his daze and nodded eagerly, clearly happy to leave this awkward conversation.

We walked back to the house together in a less awkward and more comfortable silence. As we entered the house I realized that we hadn't really discussed sleeping arrangements, or if one of needed to stay on guard, the house did seem secure enough and nobody was around, at least not that we saw. I honestly wanted to stay in the same room as Tae, I knew there was more than one bedroom in this house but I had gotten used to sleeping with Tae even in the short time I knew him. He just made me feel comfortable almost as if I had known him my whole life.

"What should we do about sleeping?" I asked breaking the silence for the second time that night.

"I don't think either of us will need to keep watch tonight, the house is safe enough, so we could both stay in the room upstairs" Taehyung said.

Through the dim candle light, I saw a faint blush cross Taehyung's face when he suggested sleeping together. As happy as I was that he wanted to stay in the same room, the blush that crossed his face made me want to tease him, just to see how red his face would go.

"You know there's more than one bedroom in the house, why would we need to stay together?" I asked biting my tongue to stop myself from giggling as his blush darkened.

"I-I know that. I just think we should stay together for s-s-safety, ya for safety... and ... warmth". He stuttered out.

Wait... did he just say warmth. It was my turn now to blush. God what the heck is wrong with me?

"I was only messing, we're obviously staying in the same room... safety in numbers and all that" I said with a laugh that came out way more nervous than it should have.

Taehyung laughed along happily and changed the mood completely. God bless this man and his ability to relieve the awkwardness.

"Well we should probably go to bed now. We have a long day ahead of us if I have to teach your clumsy ass how to ride a horse" I jokingly said to which Taehyung happily agreed.
