Delia's POV-

(Earlier that day after her practice)

I walked into the common room and saw Ron and Hermione fighting. 'Crookshanks, and Scabbers,' I thought sitting down and pulling the table close to me and laid my books down and started doing my homework.

"Delia," someone said from behind me and I looked back and saw Harry. "Hey Harry," I said smiling. "Can I talk to you?" He asked.

I nodded my head and got up and we walked out of the common room, "What did you need to talk about?" I asked him. "When did Professor Lupin start teaching you how to defend yourself from the dementors?" He asked.

I looked at the ground, "Since what happened on the train," I said. "What?" He asked rather loudly. "Harry please I didn't do it for my own safety," I said, "I did it because I care for you Harry, and the others, and I don't want anything bad to happen to you and the others."

His face softened, "I understand," he said and I smiled and hugged him, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you," I said into his chest. "It's ok," he said hugging me tighter and he was really warm and I didn't want him to let go.

I pulled away even though I didn't want to, "Harry I'm so happy your my best friend thats a guy," I said. He smiled and this weird feeling went through, but a happy feeling, the kind of feeling you feel when you like someone. 'Do I like Harry?' I asked myself.

"I'm happy to have you as my best friend that's a girl," he said. I smiled, "We should get back and sleep, we're going down to see Hagrid about Buckbeaks trial," I said.

He nodded and we walked back up, "Do you think Hagrid's going to win?" He asked me. "Yea," I said, "Buckbeak is the nicest Hippogriff I've ever met."

"I'm so glad to have you in my life Delia," he said out of no where, "I don't know what I would do without you, Ron and Hermione." "Same here," I said smiling as we walked into the common room and Ron and Hermione were glaring at each other.

"We should go to sleep," I said to Hermione and she got up and walked to our dorm and slammed the door. "Goodnight guys," I said walking up the steps and I heard them say, "Goodnight."

Hermione was getting in bed when I walked in and Ginny came in a few minutes later, "Goodnight Hermione, Goodnight Ginny," I said crawling into bed.

"Goodnight Delia," they said and I turned the light off and crawled deeper into my bed and let sleep over come me.

(THE NEXT DAY)

Classes were over and Hagrid came back from Buckbeaks trial. I was waiting for Harry, Ron and Hermione down in the common room when I saw my mum's letter on the table.

I grabbed it and opened it:

Dear Delia,

Harry will be fine, there is no need to worry. No need to worry about Sirius coming to Godric's Hollow. Tell Harry I'm sorry about his broom, I could see how much he loves Qudditch. He had the same look James had when he played Qudditch or Qudditch came into a conversation. He's a lot like James, but has Lily's eyes. I will send the brooms soon, just write me where you want me to send them and when. Delia don't worry again, Dumbledore, Remus, Mrs. Weasley's son Percy and your brother, plus the other teachers are protecting him. Tell him, Ron and Hermione I said hello

Love, Mum.

I looked at it and noticed how she kind of went off subject a lot. I grabbed some parchement, quill and ink:

Dear mum,

I know not to worry, but it's hard, because he's my best friend and I don't want Sirius to hurt Harry. Harry already know's he's his godfather and he wants Sirius to find him so he can kill Sirius. I was so worried and scared about Harry. Mum I think the end of the year would be a good time to send the brooms, and from what you told me about James I agree with you and from the pictures he does have his mother's eyes. I know everyone's looking out for him, but I feel like I do to. Write me back

Love, Delia.

I walked to the common room door and ran out and to the owlery, "Sven," I said once I got in there and he flew down, "Send this to mum."

He hooted then flew out. I ran out and back to the common room and saw Harry, Ron and Hermione waiting, "Where were you?" They asked while we walked down the steps. "I sent my mum a letter," I said, "She said how she's sorry about your broom." I said to Harry and he gave a small smile.

We walked outside, "Beautiful day," Hermione said. "Gorgeous," Ron said sarcastically. "Unless of course you've been ripped to pieces." "Ripped to pieces? What is he talking about?" Harry asked.

"Ron lost Scabbers," I said. "I haven't lost anything," Ron said glaring at Hermione, "your cat killed him." "Rubbish," Hermione said. Ron turned to us, "Harry, Delia you've seen the way that blood thirsty beast of hers is always lurking about and Scabbers is gone."

I looked at Harry and he gave a small smile, "Well maybe you should take better care of your pets," Hermione said. "Your cat killed him," Ron said. "Did not." "Did." "Didn't."

They continued on, "Do you think Crookshanks killed Scabbers?" Harry asked me. "No," I said smiling at him and he smiled back making me have that same happy feeling.

Harry's POV-

We found Hagrid standing in the lake skipping rocks and wearing a fur jacket. "How did the hearing for Buckbeak go Hagrid?" Delia asked sitting down beside me on a rock.

"Well, first off, the commitee memebers took turns talkin' about why we were there," he said skipping another rock, "an I got up and did my piece, said how Buckbeak was a good Hippogriff, always cleaned his feathers," he said and sighed, "and then Lucius Malfoy got up, well you can imagine, he said Buckbeak was a deadly and dangerous creature who would kill you as soon as he look at ya."

He skipped another rock and I saw Delia's hands in fist, "and then?" Hermione asked. "and then he asked the worst, did old Lucius," he said. "They're not sacking you!?" Ron said.

"No I'm not sacked," Hagrid said throwing another rock, "Buckbeak's been sentenced to death!" Delia gasped and looked like she could cry. Hagrid threw the rock and I could hear him sobbing.

We stood there and I saw Delia crying and I hugged her and she cried softly into my chest. "It's going to be ok," I said into her ear and hugged her tighter.

"I know," she said softly and hugged me tighter as well and I felt sad inside me at seeing her cry. A beautiful girl like her shouldnt be crying and I don't know what to do about it, but hug her.
