you said affection
wasn't in your vocabulary
but the kisses you coated
my knees, shoulders, and
palms in showed otherwiseaffection wasn't in mine
either – a struggle, i
constantly battled in
relationships,
i could receive but
never giveyet my newest struggle
was having the ability
to stop playing with your hair
and massaging the back
of your neck, scratching your back when
we went to bed
and waking you up with
kisses across your skin
