Chapter 4: Getting to know the Phantom Troupe

Chrollo's POV

The girl introduced herself as Shirayuki Midoriya, but what surprised me more was the fact she came back to life after she died. Later on saying she was 'the immortal hero, Phoenix' and 'the eternal hero, Seraphim'. I have never heard of either one of those things so I said to Shalnark and Shizuku "I want you to find out anything you can about both a phoenix and seraphim." When they returned the told me and the rest of the Phantom Troupe members that a "Phoenix was a unique bird that lived for five or six centuries, after this time burning itself on a funeral pyre and rising from the ashes with renewed youth to live through another cycle." "If she has the powers if a phoenix that explains how she came back. And the seraphim part?"
Shalnark answered, "Seraphim is described as an angelic being, regarded in traditional Christian angelology as belonging to the highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy, associated with light, ardour, and purity." "wait if this is the case, doesn't that make this girl both immortal and an angel?" Michi asked.

We all turned to look at the girl who collapsed and is on the ground. Bewilderment, awe, and amazement present on our faces. "If that is the case, then she would be very useful to us," said Chrollo with his usual expression, but those who knew him knew he was just as stunned and impressed as the others.

"Pick her up and take her inside, it would be bad if when she woke up, she would cause damage to her surroundings," Chrollo ordered and Uvogin picked her up as he was the strongest out of all of them. "Heh, she is as light as a feather," Uvogin said both surprised and sarcastically.

3rd person POV

When they were inside, Chrollo ordered to Uvogin to put her on the sofa they had at the back of the room.
He did as he was and put the unconscious girl on the sofa. He then returned to the Phantom Troupe members and they began discussing what they were going to do with the girl.

As they were talking and discussing their plans, the heard shuffling coming from the back of the room. They stopped talking and cautiously walked over to the girl, not knowing if she was dangerous or safe.

When they finally got there, the girl was waking up. Her eyes matched her looks perfectly, they were a deep acidic green, and her skin fair, pale and smooth, as she probably hadn't seen the sun for a long time.

She saw us staring at her and asked: "Who are you?"

Shirayuki's POV

When I woke up I saw a group of people staring at me, I found it quite uncomfortable that they were looking at me like that. So I asked, "who are you?" in order to break the silence.

One of them approached me, giving me his hand, I took it and he helped me sit up. He answered, "Were the Phantom Troupe and I'm their leader, my name is Chrollo Lucifer."
"It's nice to meet you Chrollo, wait, didn't I save you from that ice shard that was about to hit you?"
"Yes, you did and for that I'm grateful. Not a lot of people would risk their life here, especially not for someone like me," he said the last part sadly. "And why not? You seem like a nice person." They all looked at me with shocked expressions, like I was saying something crazy. "Well you see, we are not exactly the good guys here."
"Oh, wait, where exactly am I?" she asked. "You are at our hideout. It's in Yorknew city." Chrollo explained to me. "Where exactly is Yorknew city, I've never heard about it." They all looked at each other and asked: "what year were you born?" I replied with  I was born in the year 3000." Then they exchanged another look and told me, where you are right now, the year is 2045." she then gasped and looks horrified and said. "I went back in time?" "we don't know if that is the case." he then told her about the world they lived in. It was very different from my home as here, very few people could protect themselves, and those who could use something called nen to do it. It was basically where the person used their own life energy to protect themselves. And the Phantom Troupe had the strongest nen users in the world.
