As i board the plane i bit my lip not knowing what to expect when i return we were high school kids and now we all adults. I take my seat as i open my phone i find myself strolling threw old pictures of everyone i cared about though one catches my eye its of me and Ezekiel the night of my birthday his arms wrapped arms my waist and me being silly kissing his cheek truth be told i was always crushing on him but as we grew older things change everyone drifts apart but we were always there for each other threw high school threw the heart breaks and fights but eventually he distanced himself and thats when i show up to his apartment and here we are complete strangers. I closed my eyes pushing back the memories and drifted off to past time.

》Flashback

I stand next to my bestfriend Emily as we laugh at Angel and Ezekiel who are doing keg stands at my birthday party. "There idiots" emily giggles i shake my head as i go to serve myself more alcohol in my red solo cup pour vodka the juice i take a big gulp already feeling drunk. I feel arms around my waist and turn to see angel picking me up i squirmed "Angel what are you doing?" I sigh "Keg stand time for you birthday girl" he laughs sitting me down next to the kegs i try making a run as Ez steps in front of me " Nice try princess your turn" he smirks i smirk pulling up my hair "Dont drop me" i laugh as him and angel lift me "I got you babe no worries" ez smiled knowing what he said made me shake my head but thats the thing he always called me these nicknames as friends i was use to it. As quickly as i went up i began chugging as emily recorded us once i was put down i smirked to myself as everyone cheered. I ran off to the bathroom quickly once i finished i walked out only to run into ezekiel as he pulled me down the hall to my room. He pulled me in locking the room before pulling out a book that revaled a necklace with our initals ingrave into a ying and yang symbol. I felt tears in my eyes looking up at him he smiled "Look i got one too" he said before turning me around to put it on me i smiled "Its perfect Ez thank you!" I giggled hugging him as he held me tight not letting go "No matter were life takes us your my bestfriend your family just know ill never leave your side jaz" he whispered letting me go looking me in the eyes i bit my lip as he moved closer brushing a strand of hair behind my ear then stepping away.

I felt myself bolt up sweat running down my face i caught my breath as i felt the plane begin landing as the lady on the enercome said we had arrived i felt nervous again. I grabbed my carry on and made my way to the luggage pick up waiting on my bag i looked around scared of who i would see but as always i was paraniod i still had to drive a few miles to get home of course i wouldnt see anyone. As i walked out i hailed the cab to take me to get my rental. As he dropped me off paying him i went inside to fill out paper work paying the man and getting the keys i walked loading the car before making my way home. Driving in silence i sighed it was early morning not many people on the roads so it took me about 2 hours before i got home as i pulled into the driveway turning off the car watching my parents run out i smiled getting out running to hug them "we missed you!" They smiled "i missed you all!" I cried as we pulled apart my dad helping me with my bags as we walked inside everything how i remembered it. I smiled as i placed everything in my old room looking around nothing out of place i made my way downstairs into the kitchen were my parents were making dinner. "So whats going on pops?" I frowned sitting down he sighed " i had to let people go we behind some money so i cant afford paying everyone its not like it use to be" he frowned. "Its ok pops ill get a job around here help out a little ok?" I smile "mija no you've done to much for us" my mom frowned "And you all have done more for me remember that ill stick around awhile mom its fine" i grin " Y tu novio que?" My dad laughs "He is off on buisness its not like i see much of him its been hard" i admit they frown "I still have my anxiety attacks and im usually alone ill be fine" i said sadly and then frown knowing what i mean my dad opens to say something as my mom hits him with the rag i laugh she looks at him shaking her head no. I ignore there exchange "So whats for dinner?" I laugh "Always hungry!" My mom jokes and my dad laughs "Why dont you go to the meat market get some roast hija?" My dad says i nod getting up and making my way to the door. "Be careful hija" my mom yells i open the door making my way to the car as i drive i noticed everything is the same i make my way to the meat market parking getting out
I walk inside seeing as its empty thats when i see an older man it isnt till then that i realize its Ezekiel and Angels dad i frezze in my spot as his eyes get wide he comes around the corner "jasmine is that you?" I nod tears filling my eyes as i make my way over hugging him tight regardless of what happened i forgave him because he was like a second dad to me and the incident wasnt his fault someone else ordered that hit so i couldnt blame anyone "its you mija " he smiled " i know how are you?" I said wiping tears "well still getting old but im ok lost his mom after we thought you died how can this be?" He frowned i frowned "im so sorry i wasnt here she was like my second mom you know that" i felt tears fall. "After i died the doctors brought me back i woke up dazed and confused i just remembered people whispering he was gone dissapeared and that when i really wanted to die" i admitted "i was selfish i ran off faked my death cause i was scared that they would come back im so sorry i should of told you i missed you all so much " i cried as his dad hugged me "its ok your here know thats what matters" he smiled looking me in the eyes thats when i frown "Ezekiel where is he?" I shuddered "well after he thought you died he left for a few months came back never forgave himself then his mom passing he was messed up he got out of control got arrested now he is a little different doesnt care about much started dating this chavala thats no good for him" he pauses "she is a model very stuck up pero he dont listen to me" he frowns i felt my heart sink. "And angel?" I ask " he is good stays under the radar started his bike club" he smiled and i sighed "can you not mention me im not ready yet" i frown "pos mija its too late for that" he frowns i turn around and in walks angel he stops in his tracks i smile tears fill our eyes as he runs scooping me up "my little sister your alive " he sobs i hug him tight "im sorry i should of told you!" I cry as he looks at me " we missed you so much we constantly go to the grave" he frowns "im here now im back " i smile hugging him tight. "Does Ez know?" Angel sighs i shake my head no and he frowns "He is changed" angel sighs he looks around "i should go gotta go make dinner then i start my new job tonight at some bar i just applyed at" i sigh "ill come visit i promise" i smile handing them my numbers before walking out
