Okay. I hated this one so I just deleted this. I'm sorry. I have a quotev account where I posted a few one-shots as well, so I'll just put one here for you guys.
{Logan's POV}
I raced through the mind space, frantically trying to find something when I bumped into Patton. "Hi, Logan!" Patton said, in his usual happy voice.
"Salutations, Patton." I quickly adjusted my tie, which got loose from running around. "What'cha doin'?"
"I am simply looking for something, nothing to be curious about."
"Whatcha lookin' for?"
God, I would do anything just to say 'You.' But instead, I just say, "Nothing special."
"If it wasn't anything special then why are you running around, not only that but in a panic-y way?"
"Really, it's nothing." I scan around the room, looking to see if it was there, but it wasn't. I sighed in disappointment, about to turn to my room but Patton grabbed onto my hand.
"I heard that something lost only shows up when you aren't looking for it, so let's do something else!"
Patton dragged me over to the living room area, which looked the same as Thomas's living room, but no one minds.
He pushed me onto the couch and ran into the kitchen, grabbing a jar of cookies. He rushed into the closet and grabbed some blankets.
"MOVIEEEEEE!" Patton shouted, Roman, popping up in an instant.
"DID SOMEONE SAY MOVIE?"
"YUP!"
Virgil popped up a little later, quickly making his way over to the couch.
"Disney?"
"Was that a question?"
"I guess Disney it is!" Patton said while turning on the TV.
He flipped through channels before finding a Disney movie. One of the worst ones also. Sleeping Beauty. I won't lie, it is a great movie. But the bad thing is all the emotion and lovey-dovey things. And the fact that it is HIGHLY unrealistic. For example;
The waist is too short.Fairies aren't real.Magic isn't real.
But all that aside, it is a pretty great movie.
A few whiles in, I noticed something red fall from behind the TV. I inspected it from afar, only to realized it was the thing I was looking for. I quickly snapped quietly and it sunk down into what I hoped was my room.
{Patton's POV}
After the movie.
"I'm tired! I'm going to go to bed." I said while stretching, getting up from my position of sitting on the floor.
I picked up the cookies and made my way over to the kitchen. I could barely hear what my kiddos were talking about, but I tried my best to listen in.
"Did you find it?"
"Yes, during the movie."
"Are you sure you should be doing this?"
"Of course. Do you have a different opinion?"
"It's just. he's like my dad... y' know? It sorta feels weird if.."
"Shh."
"What?"
"Patton is listening in."
"Patton?" I heard steps coming to me.
I quickly panicked and sunk down into my room, still holding the jar of cookies.
I sat down on my bed, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
I shoved my face in the cookies, drowning away my sadness.
Does Logan like someone else?
Who is it?
I bet it's Roman...
I took out drawing supplies and started drawing on my arms.
When my emotions go overboard I usually draw on my arms. I think there are still some marks from last time.
The tint of my room kept changing from yellow, to pink, to blue, to all sorts of colors. That happens when my emotions go into overdrive.
I felt a pair of eyes watching me, but when I looked around the room no one was there. I stood up and starting saying dad jokes.
There was a little giggle behind the bed.
I quickly rushed over to behind the bed.
"Found you!"
It was Virgil.
"Hiya kiddo!"
"Hi, dad."
"What are you doing here?"
"Why was your uh, tint of the room changing colors?"
"Oh.. it's nothing."
"Pat..."
"Fineeeee! My emotions go... overboard sometimes. And that's what happens."
"Oh yeah! I have to get to the point of why I'm here."
Virgil rummaged around something in his pocket.
He took out a box.
"Here!" He handed it to me.
I opened it, curious.
There was a little note, that said "Welcome to my treasure hunt. Your first stop is where we first met."
I looked up back at Virgil.
He ushered me out of my room.
The first spot we met... oh! The imagination! I quickly sunk down into the imagination, where I was met with Roman. "Hey, padre!" He walked up to me and wrapped his arms around me.
"I believe this is for you." He handed me a small note.
"You did it! Great job! Your next spot has to do with sweet smells." I tilted my head, confused. Oh! The kitchen! I sunk down and appeared in the kitchen.
There was a jar of cookies with a note on it. "These are for you, sugarplum. Your third spot is your silly game. Good luck!" I quickly took a cookie and popped it in my mouth. I already knew where I was headed.
I popped up and it still had that same echo. On one of the books, there was a note. "Your last stop! You're doing fantastic, by the way! It's the place we had our first date." My eyes widened.
I quickly sunk down into my room and opened a side door leading to a park. I rushed through the park to this field of flowers, where our first date was held. There was the same exact set up as our date. But something was new. There was a sign that said, "Turn around." I turned around and immediately tears started streaming down my face.
"Hi, Patton-cake. I hope you enjoyed my little game. After this whole thing is over, you should thank Virgil and Roman, they helped a lot with this. I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have met you, and I must be the luckiest guy to have met someone as sweet and caring as you are. Now, I have just one place you need to go, but luckily your already there." He opened up the black box, and there was the most beautiful ring ever. On the top of the inside of the box said "My heart."
"My dearest Patton, will you marry me?"
"YES!" I screamed, tackling him in a hug and smashing our lips together.
And suddenly, nothing else in the world mattered. It was just me, Logan, and my family. Everything was going to be just fine.
